Before the Sun Sets

When the meeting finished, Leo made his way to the bathroom and ran some water, which he splashed up onto his face. He wanted to disguise the pain he had just resurfaced. He didn’t want to think about it, even though he knew that if he ignored it, this would all end up the same. One Leo had gotten himself composed again he checked his phone and the time before walking back towards the spa. Leo grinned from ear to ear as he saw Olivia outside waiting. He was not only very proud of himself for taking the step, he was excited to see Olivia all dolled up and refreshed. The man felt like there was a little extra bounce in his step. Leo whistled to Olivia as he was a few feet away before excitedly plopping down on the bench besides her. “Hey there gorgeous.” He said his voice a little extra cheery. “ready to eat?” He asked and slid his hand into hers. “What kinda food?” He asked as he stood with Olivia and began to walk towards the downtown area so they could take a look at the restaurants available.

Olivia heard a whistle and looked up seeing Leo her smile growing until it made her face glow. "Hey handsome." she grinned and leaned into him. She placed a tender kiss to his lips feeling her self starting to believe that things could be good again for the first time in so long. "You're cheery. Did you have a good time while I was being pampered?" she asked him. She nodded standing and taking his hand as they headed to get dinner. "Umm greek? Or maybe Southern?" she smiled walking in step with him. Her hand laid over his arm her head resting against his shoulder. She felt so pleased that she was wrong. She knew that it meant she had a lot of self work she needed to work on and she was pretty sure she needed to start up counseling again but for tonight she was just going to enjoy the bliss. She was thinking maybe she should reward Leo too. He was so good to her and she was so proud of him. He didn't have to know that was what it was for.

Leo felt at ease the moment they had that physical connection again. He looked around as they walked. His mind wandered to their future and what it could or would look like, a light blush on his face as his mind immediately went to marrying Olivia. “I’m fine with either. When you see somewhere you like just tug me in that direction.” He told her with a light laugh. Leo didn’t mind walking around the downtown area. The fresh air was relaxing and he was spending it with Olivia and that’s all he could really ask for. The man hummed quietly as the walked. Leo knew he had to tell her eventually, but he was nervous. He felt as if he had bared himself, exposed himself so much today. He didn’t understand why he couldn’t do the same with the woman he loved. Maybe when he was able to get his one month chip he would show her and tel her.

Olivia chuckled and tugged on his arm. "Okay." she smiled up at him. He seemed happier today than he had in a while. She was so glad to see it. "You talked to Tony today right? How is he?" she asked just making small talk as they walked. She saw a little gyro place and lead him int hat direction. She loved to listen to Leo hum. It was soothing. The little down town was sweet with it's old fashion street lamps that where starting to flicker on. They still had little flowers int he pots though fall was quickly beginning to change them. She felt like they where racing the seasons as they drove across the country. They walked into the little greek restaurant and up to the ordering line. "Do you want to sit outside after we get out food?" she asked him.

Leo followed Olivia’s lead as they made their way through downtown. He nodded as she saw a Greek place and he was glad because he was starved. “I talk to Tony like every day.” He said and shrugged. “But he’s good I think.” Leo glance down and laughed softly. “Babe do you know how guys are friends? We check in on each other every three to five business months. I don’t know what his favorite color is but I know he likes to smoke Marlboro reds.” The man told her and shrugged. “Sounds good.” He murmured to her as they got to the front of the line. Leo ordered for himself and for Olivia before paying. He followed their directions for where to stand as they waited for their food. “So what’re we gonna do when we get back to New York?” He asked as he looked down at Olivia with almost puppy dog like eyes. He knew she wanted to travel and work. But Leo had his home and it was New York, well his home was Olivia, but he lived in New York. When their number was called Leo grabbed the food and headed outside with Olivia and sat down.

Olivia looked up at him and laughed as he told her how guys where friends. "Well no wonder he emails me to find out how you really are." she teased. She followed him through the line sipping on her drink as they waited. She looked up at him as he asked what they where going to do. He looked do innocent as he asked and almost like he was pleading with her. She smiled and squeezed his hand. "Whatever we want... well after the movie of course." she said. They got their food and sat down. She looked over at him. "We where talking about traveling and I was thinking..." she looked down blushing. "I think it would be good." she looked up. "I mean we have to visit your brother first and should spend some time with him. But then we could go anywhere. I know you said you can travel anywhere while you're writing and after this movie I think I will have a lot of opportunities open up so we can take a look at those together if you want." she felt herself rambling again realizings he hadn't done that in a while but suddenly wished Leo would stop her before she said something stupid like get married and have twenty dogs and two kids. Sure she wanted kids but not anytime soon and one dog would be more than enough. Her mouth kept going thankfully not saying what was going through her head.

Leo sat across from Olivia, unfolding his gyro as he listened to her talk. His eyes lifted from the food as he smiled and realized she was beginning to ramble. It was a habit both of them had and couldn’t seem to kick around one another. Even though Leo hated it about himself, he loved it in Olivia. Leo reached out and gently touched her hand, knowing they both needed to be helped when they rambled. “We can figure it out when we get there. But I just see my future with you.” He said softly before his attention turned back to his food as his stomach growled. Leo was nervous to lose her once they returned back to their normal lives. He didn’t want to admit that fear but it was plaguing his mind a lot of the time. As he dug in he let out a sound of pleasure. “Good choice.” He mumbled between bites. “This is really good.”

Olivia relaxed as he reached over and stopped her. She smiled softly at him. She nodded. His words made her belly jump. She could feel her ear heating at the thoughts that ran through her head of them getting married and having a real honeymoon. She watched him seeing him distracting and reached over touching his hand. "I can't see my future without you in it." she told him softly then took a bite and hummed. She swallowed the bite and nodded. "Yeah this is great." she said and popped a fry in her mouth. She was glad they where so easy together, at least most the time. She realized nothing was ever just good or just bad but she was glad with Leo it was mostly good. She knew they where growing together and that was important. Olivia took a sip of her drink looking over at him her thoughts running away with her.

Leo blushed quickly when Olivia said she couldn’t see her future without him. He couldn’t see his without her, but if he was honest he didn’t know what his future held. He had never really planned on it, he didn’t think he would make it this far. But with Olivia he knew he had to stay around a little while longer. Leo picked at the fried and ate his gyro it seemed in one bite, he was starving even though he as made them both breakfast that morning. Maybe it was from the releasing of all his emotions. He wondered just how bad Graham was to Olivia, and what he was going to have to do to get the other man to back off. Leo wasn’t one for violence but he knew how to fight and defend himself. He had to learn growing up how he did. He wouldn’t have any problems fighting Graham other than the fact it would upset Olivia. When the couple was finished he collected their trash and threw it out. When he returned Leo offered his hand to Olivia. “Come on we got a long drive tonight and into the morning.” He murmured.

Olivia finished her food and stood taking Leo's hand and followed him back to the RV. They got in and she smiled. "Hey Leo will you program the new coordinates? I want to shower off." she said. What she really wanted was to dress up in something for him. She grinned and kissed him suggestively. "Thanks." she said and headed to their room. She slipped in and pulled something from the bottom of her suitcase. She moved to the bathroom rinsing off. Once she was dried off she dressed and looked in the mirror at herself. She nodded and put a little lipstick on blotting it on some paper so it wouldn't smudge on him. She stepped out and into their room leaning against the doorway. "Leo are you done?" she called waiting for him to come to her. She was nervous and yet very excited. She hoped he liked it. She wasn't sure what his taste where. She was use to odd tastes. She had bought this because she had liked it's simplicity but she would see what Leo thought.

Leo glanced down and nodded. “Yea I can do that babe.” He said snd smiled as she moved off. Leo went to the cockpit and sat down as he began to toy with the settings and navigation. After a few minutes and double checking Leo was sure he got it. He started the course they were to take the night before he headed out into the common area. He sat at the table and played on his phone, distracted until he heard her voice. “Oh yea be right there babe.” He called out. Leo quickly finished the game he was playing before heading into the bedroom. The man was on his phone as he stepped in. “So what do you wanna—“ As he looked up at Olivia he stopped in his tracks and his mouth dropped. Leo quickly shoved his phone back into his pocket as a smirk began to spread across his lips. “Woman what is this for?” He asked and put his hands on her hips.

Olivia blushed as she watched his eyes travel over her. His hand tried to shove his phone in his pocket several times before getting it. She apparently had done something right. His dropped mouth made her feel excited and more nervous though she knew now that he liked what he saw. She watched him come closer putting her hands on his chest as he held her hips. She smiled up at him. "I had a good day and I wanted to make sure your day ended as nice as mine was." she said and leaned up into him kissing him softly. She ran her hands up wrapping her arms around his waist as she pulled him closer. He really was a changed man and she knew it now without a doubt. She wanted him to feel good about his day because he really had taken a huge step. She was proud of him and thankful for him. Olivia pressed her body into his. They hadn't had sex since the first day he was sober before they started their trip back up again. She had been holding off until things seemed right again and now they defiantly where right. "Do you like?" she asked as her mouth moved down his neck nipping at his pulse with a hum.
