Did you put the username of the author you're trying to add in properly?

Has the person been on Mibba to accept the request? The author who you're requesting to be an author has to accept it before they become an author on the story.

Hey guys I'm officially stumped.

I currently write in 1st person for my story, but as the storyline is split between the two main characters who go their seperate ways, I want to be able to write the story for both sides. I know that my protaganist who I narrate for wouldn't know what's going on with the other main character, so I feel like I can't keep it in that perspective as it wouldn't make sense.

So the question is:

Should I switch the 1st person over to the other character (who I've never wrote in 1st person for), or when not writing about my protaganist should it switch to 3rd person?

Thanks for the help. :)

I would say to go with third person. I've read that in a book before and it made sense after a quick moment. :)

Hey,

So I love when people add pictures of what they think the character looks like in a story. I know how to add the link in there and make that link into a word they can click on. What I am wondering is what is the best site to use to get a picture? I Have a picture in mind but I don't want them to have to go the website to view it I just want it to pop up. Like when people do a link to outfits on Polyvore it just pops up to that out fit and they can hit the back button to go back to the story.

If you could help me out it would be AMAZING! Oh and greatly appreciated.

I think you just want to use the direct link to your image. You can find the direct link to an image by right-clicking and finding it under properties/image info/whatever (it varies depending on your browser), and if you upload the image to a photo-hosting site (like imgur, photobucket, etc.) they'll give you the direct link to the image. Then just use that as the URL when you're linking to the picture, and the link will take you to a page with just the picture and nothing else.

(Just remember that it's against the rules to have links in your story itself; they have to be in the author's note or summary.)

I'd love an opinion on this, I've just written a summary to a new story using an excerpt of a later chapter. The story is a sequel, so I didn't want to reveal the plot and I couldn't make it any shorter since I'm describing a scene. The thing is, it turned out to be 470 words long.

Do you think it's too long for a summary? What do you normally write in summaries?
Tips/ideas are appreciated.

I think that's a good length for a summary. I've seen shorter, I've seen longer. I usually do a long quote from the story, but sometimes I do an alternate prologue type of thing, where I describe something that happens before the story begins and such.

Uh... no, I don't think it's too long.

I've thought about making this summary into a prologue because of the lenght, but that wouldn't work that well. And it's sort of tricky when you're working on a sequel, you don't have total freedom to write about future and past as when you're starting something completely new.
Thanks a lot for your help :)

You just link the photo's with the standard link text And as for the warning on chapters you just put them in the chapter's short description box.

So I have question of my own. I noticed a comment above had the same question but it's a slightly bit different. In my story Sinister Eyes I'm writing in 1st person but along the lines other characters are gonna be saying their point of view in the story like my latest chapter. So for my question, is it okay to add 3rd person in a 1st person story?

So long as they're not both used in the same chapter, it should be fine.

I am writing a story and made a mistake...I have written the whole thing in the first person and for some reason I have now decided that it needs to be in third person. Is there an easy way to change this or is a rewrite the only answer?
