Because Chicago is cheap and doesn't want to pay for him Dx.

What about Patrick Kane being 5 for 6 in shootouts? I can't believe that kid. I didn't like him at the beginning of the season because it always looked like he was being lazy. I was so wrong.
Last night the Hawks lost to San Jose in a shootout. >.<

The Leafs won last ight 4-2 against the Habs. That's pretty good for them. Out of 30 teams...they're 28th xD

Aw man, I'm out of juice. Okay anyway, I was looking at Colorado merch. There's a Patrick Roy, autographed jersey..for 800 dollars (once you add the shipping) :O I want it sooo bad :( lol
I'm gonna get a blanket instead..it's like 750 dollars cheaper xD

I just watched one of the videos on youtube. It just scared me even more, I didn't expect the blood to just pour out like that. I mean, I expected blood but not that quickly.
It hit an artery didn't it? That's what I heard anyway.
    That's really scary.

I asked my mom who saw it on a news thingy and she said it hit his carroted (I'm almost positive I've spelled that wrong) artery and was pretty close to the jugular.
Now I'm kinda glad my brother plays street/roller hockey more than ice hockey. Everytime I think about this I shiver a little.

He's been moved up into good condition and moved into a private room.
There was a lot of blood on the ice. I asked someone and they told me it severed an artery so he's pretty damn lucky to be alive

Now they're talking about having it be mandatory for all players to wear neck guards. And just to think they didn't always used to wear helmets.
    O.o

But yeah. On a lighter note, I had my fight-lust quenched a while back while watching a Blackhawks game. Two seconds into the first period and a fight broke out. They threw off the gloves and really got into it. xD And the other night...I forget which team it was, but the goalie ever shoved/hit/punched someone aside for running into him. They were all so wild up after Toews came back.

Oh man, hockey without helmets would be brutal.
I remember my brother, his friend James, and I were just practicing, shooting the ball into an empty net (it was roller hockey) and I was skating behind the net because I had to get my ball and James missed the net and the ball hit me right in the head. Hurt like hell. It was a slapshot too and James is one of the best shooters on their team so it was pretty damn hard.
He bought me ice cream after that because he felt so bad. He doesn't usually miss the net but I guess he slipped a little on a rock or something.

2 seconds into the first period? Haha, aw man that must've been a fun sight.

Neck guards should be mandatory, this isn't the first time it's happened. It's just a freak accident, but still. All those pile ups are intense, it's dangerous not to have them. I know just watching local games I freak out when a skate gets too close.

Man, I still remember the old Colorado/Wings rivalry. The entire team broke out into a fight, including the goalies. It was friggin funny to watch Roy come up out of nowhere and just like tackle another player.

I hate when you can tell a fight it planned though, like before the lockout. It was just stupid. The Leafs had some pretty tough goons...now how did I start talking about this O.o..

I used to hate playing floor hockey in gym because 90% of the guys were on the hockey team and always had been so they had deadly wrist and slap shots. Half the time they wouldn't mean to do them but still, ouch >.<

I don't like planned fights either, I like ones that are on the spot and just really random and out of nowhere. Those always end up being the best.

And I do agree, neck guards should be mandatory, I always jump a little when there are pileups or when people are in a fight and they fall. It's really dangerous. None of my friends are really avid hockey watchers or players but they're always talking about how hockey is probably one of the most dangerous sports ever. Then they laugh at me because the one sport (other than volleyball and badmitton) I'm actually good at is actually one of the most dangerous.

Floor hockey is a lot easier than ice hockey for me because I learned to roller blade before I learned to ice skate and I'm not really good on ice skates, I fall too much. I learned to roller blade on a hill so I kinda know how to keep myself up. Haha.
