This is Rick. He used to work for the Youth Group that I go to every once or twice a month. When I first met him, he came to my school with the team (which is how I got to know who they are and about thier group) anyway... I was asked to take part in the band for the mass that they were going to have later in the week. Everyday I would go and play music for mass, and I started to talk to Rick. He taught me about music, he visited my class and told us about himself, he sat with me at lunch when I was on my own, everyday he sat with me. It was incredible how nice he and his friends were to me. I missed them after they left, but I recieved an email soon after, around late January asking me if I would like to go on a retreat with the team. I immediatley said yes, and went from the 13th-15th of February. Rick taught me a lot during that weekend, and I admire him for his faith, courage, friendship, truthfulness and just his whole personality. He is an amazing person, and I'm sad to say that he left the team in July (the team stop working when schools start summer vacation). We had a celebration mass, and he was given presents and stuff for the future. And at the end, me and my friends started to sing 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley, because one day he wasn't at one of the events, and it was a quiz night. Me and my friends named our team 'Where's Rick?' and we decided our theme song would be 'Never Gonna Give You Up', we sing it all the time now, when he's around. We even decorated little plastic plates as our 'badge' sort of thing.
Here,

hereWhen I went back, I was so upset so see him not there. But then, at the back of the church he was there taking photos.
Me and my friends rushed to see him afterwards, I was stood behind him and because I'm quite small he couldn't see me. My friend said to him "Rick, behind you, it's Emma" and he turned around, apologized and gave me a massive hug.
"How could I forget about you?" he said to me, we had a huge conversation afterwards, but it was a shame, he could only stay for a little while. He promised me he'd be back soon, to one of the events to see me, and he's going to hang out at some of them too so I'm pretty excited. He has a place in my heart, he's one of the most amazing people I've ever met.
