My absolute number one favorite is Nile. Death metal with lyrics centering on ancient Egyptian mythology and deities. I've never heard any other band quite like them.
My top 5:
Nile Dimmu Borgir Type O Negative Morbid Angel Rotting Christ
Matchbox Twenty. Some people like to dismiss them as overrated pop, but you know what? I don't care what others dismiss them as. I think they're extraordinarily underrated, and if you don't like them, you're missing out on some great music.
Pierce the Veil. But I hate only choosing one, so my other favourites are Of Mice and Men, Bring Me The Horizon, Jobstoppers (Australian ska band) and Crown the Empire
No favorites here, but a deft top five. These are the bands that always find themselves sneaking into every playlist/mix CD I've ever made and I never get tired of their songs;
1. New Found Glory 2. Blink 182 3. Yellowcard 4. Say Anything (because max is a fucking genius). 5. Something Corporate
I'm stuck in the land of so-co pop-punk of the early 2000's and I'm okay with that.
I have a top-five list too. None of these artists would I consider myself a "fan" of in the common sense. I love all music. >Coldplay. >Opeth. (Swedish prog. metal) >Green Day. >Daft Punk. >All Time Low. There's loads more I could list. Most bands, all it takes is one good song. :)
- All Time Low - Nrivana - Fall Out Boy - Of Mice & Men - Woe, Is Me - Avenged Sevenfold (fave) - Daft Punk - Evanescence - Halestorm - The Amity Affliction - La Dispute - The Lonely Island - Brian Haner - Sixx: AM And, there's plenty more! :)
Avenged Sevenfold Halestorm Flyleaf Asking Alexandria Bullet For My Valentine Good Charlotte Paramore Five Finger Death Punch Black Veil Brides Papa Roach Escape the Fate Falling in Reverse Three Days Grace And I'm sure there are more but to name a few. I'm currently exploring new bands to add to my list :)
Avenged Sevenfold (no contest) One Direction Little Mix Def Leppard Boston Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks Eagles/Don Henley Judas Priest Journey Elton John Rod Stewart Billy Joel
