I remember one time at lunch.
We were talking about different religions, and we mentioned seventh day adventists.
And this boy spoke up, because that was his faith. And then he starting bashing, wiccans, and how that was the faith he didn't like whatsoever, not would he ever tolerate it.

And my friend next to me was like, I'm wiccan.
And explained how he was wrong, and ignorant.
And then the boy probably had a heat stroke from how much he was blushing.

I've always looked up to her for that. Regardless of what I believe, but the fact that she stood so firmly for what she believed.

I'm sort of an 'eclectic' Wiccan but I don't go towards the bipity boppity boo magic side. I don't ride a broomstick and i don't believe I can just ask and get it. Yes there is witchcraft but I'm nowhere near trying that again....(note: asking for bad dreams just because they sometimes inspire you is not a good idea...*shudder*) I do believe some forms of 'magic' bring me closer to God and Goddess and I do 'send energy' in the form of prayer and good thoughts to those suffering.
I Believe that the soul is reincarnated until one accomplishes all they need to then we get to go to heaven/summerland. I believe very strongly in my deity, the god and the goddess. I am upset when people talk about having bad wiccan experiences b/c usually they aren't talking about the religious part- just the magic part.
I've been Wiccan for about a year and a half and I'm not ready to call myself a 'Wicca' yet. If anyone would like to help me, I have no money for good books and no one local to teach me (My father is Agnostic and my mother believes in a variety of Native American beliefs) All I need is some advice, some guidance. I've read a lot on the web and a book by Llewellyn plus some of a book from my friend but she, like me, is young and inexperienced.

oops longer than i meant it to be

I'm wiccan I don't believe wicca is a bad religion at all, it has protected me from things i knew would happen or have a cause to happen and it isn't evil as many people suggest, it's just a rumour because people who do bad things are using black magic and therefore are breaking the wiccan rede.

Hey, I am a Norse Wiccan(which is one of the many branches of Wicca) , I have been one for years, Its a wonderful free spirited religion
I enjoy it very much, it helps me connect to the earth around me
I don't recommend it to those who would just pick it up for the spells
Its a whole lot more than some people realize.

I found out at the age of 8 that I have pagan routes, my mother is pagan, as am I. 8) But she never really told me what she is. I know that she isn't Wiccan. Neither am I. But I don't really know about the deities. I mean, I know theres the Green Man and Mother Earth and that. I just want to know more about the religon itself. Any help? :cute:

I am wiccan but haven't completed my year and a day yet. My views are positive though it is hard staying peaceful. I have changed though, slowly but surely I have. Before my sister (not real, just really close friend) introduced Wicca to me, i would've punched anyone who hurt me or said anything now I think better of it. Who would want to be known as a crazy girl and especially since most relate Wicca to Wicthcraft? It's hard enough without making problems for yourself and other Wiccans. Though I have gotten in trouble before with spirits (not on purpose) I have learned my lesson and am close with the Lord and Lady. Though it isn't for anyone, it is for me.

I wouldn't consider myself Wiccan, but I have been studying up on it for the last year. It is a nature-based religion, because it falls under Paganism. And yes, it is witchcraft. There are two different type of it: black magick and white magick. White magick is the more peaceful of the two. Black magick is what you could consider "evil magick". It can be cruel, and can cause harm to anybody.

The whole Wicca religion is highly based on the concept of karma. What you give out comes back to you three-fold. It can work both ways. If you do something good for someone, something better will happen to you. If you cause any form of harm towards someone or something, you get it back three times worse.

I know that the pentacle is often mistaken for the sign of the devil. The pentacle is a five-pointed star with a circle around it. Each point stands for something different: Fire, Water, Earth, Spirit, and Air. It is a sign of protection. It has nothing to do with the devil. If you were to take the circle away, then that would be an entirely different story.
Just so you know I'm a Wiccan. True Magick is not Black or White it's both because Nature is both. Nature is loving yet cruel all at the same time.

You can be Wiccan and a Psychic Vampire. Wiccans use energy to make things happen for the better just as a Psychic Vampire can use energy to make a person feel better and to for them to feed to be healthy themselves. Why can't someone be a Wiccan or Pagan or anything and be a Psychic Vampire too? I know Christains who are Psychic Vampires. Maybe you should read about us try The Psychic Vampire Codex.

Due to my personal beliefs, I'm not interested in trying out Wicca. I'm not saying I'm going to bash Wiccian, even though I'm a Christian, because everyone has their choice even if I don't like it, and plus I don't know enough about it to judge (I don't like to judge anyway...)

But I've read some stuff...and the dangers of it scares the crap out me.

You have to be careful about which books you read about Wicca or any religion because you have those nuts out there who think that their religion is the only right way and that if you don't believe what they do then you'll be doomed to a hellish suffering.

I'm not really Wiccan, I guess I'm Pagan though? I confuse myself. I don't believe in any type of God or Goddess, but I believe in kind of like a lifestream, energy (Nature)? And I believe magic is when people tap into it.

This is the second time today I've tried and failed at explaining this properly.

    Merry Meet & Witches Greet,
I am a witch and proud of it. I do NOT follow any one pathway, I select the ones that provide me with the answers in which I seek. I take some from here and some from there and continue until I can get a definitive answer. I do my rituals, my magick and I live my life to the best I can. I do not believe in coven's as to me they are another way of telling me what I personally have to believe, now I am not saying not to belong to one if that is what you want or need, it's just not for me, so I stay ecclectic and mix it around. I am a teacher of the Craft and if someone is really wanting to learn what it takes, then all you have to do is ask. Read my profile and you will see where I am coming from.

    Brightest Blessings,
    Windspirit

I like the Wicca Religion. My cousin is Wiccan and off of the research I've been doing I'm really intrigued by it. I think maybe I'll go for soon.
