I can talk to my Mother as if she were my best friend; but then when it comes to my dad, that's another loooonnng story.

Long story cut short; he's changed since the divorce, and I hate what he's became, and I hate -especially- the things I've found out...

I can talk to my mom, yeah, but not about really personal stuff. She's pretty, uh, closed-minded. Anyway, she's always busy with work nowadays [ they both are } so, I don't really get to talk about them often.
My parents are always working now too... Especially my dad. Who works night shifts. So he's always asleep during the day...

I can't. They twist and turn all the information I give them. Once they heard me talking on the phone when my best friend was helping me through my break-up and my dad told my mom that my best friend wanted to hit my ex. My best friend said it as a joke and then I couldn't go out with him because they thought I was going to get in trouble.

I can sometimes talk to my mom. It really depends on what it is, but it's really easy to tell her things.

I can't talk to my dad. He doesn't really take anything seriously, and he'll end up making jokes that make me feel horrible or just not pay attention whatsoever. Disgust

I can't talk to my mum. She has no time for me anymore. I've had problems for years and she didn't even realize until I told her a few months back. And... she doesn't get me. She doesn't know how I work or what I do with my life. She doesn't even know what subjects I took.

Dad is better to talk to (and I don't even live with him) but obviously, I can't talk to him about girly things.

My stepmum is the easiest to talk to. Which is odd.

This is gonna sound really pathetic and brat like but my mum doesn't actually talk to me anymore... WEll, she says stuff, she yells at me to get up and she tells me what to do, but she never seems to yell at my (17) year old brtoher, and is always talks to him normally. I feel like I've done something wrong, and I dunno what. It sucks =/ Sorry, I needed to rant... =)

Same with my father, he never takes anything seriously. If I want something, I'll ask him and he'll give me a lecture on why I don't need it, or he'll just whine at me about how I want too much. Or theres always the times when he just starts a new conversation with someone elst, while I'm still talking.

I can't talk to either. They're not at all understanding, and very annoying at times. I'm more distant from my Mum, though.

The only real person I can talk to in my family is my sister.

I find it easier to talk to my dad than my mum.
We're more alike and stuff, we talk about music and everything else. :tehe:
There are times when he's a total asshole and I refuse to speak to him, but otherwise we have a pretty good relationship.

My mum on the other hand, we aren't that close in my opinion, we can talk to eachother and stuff is we need to. But I prefer not to tell her anything.

Very easy. I have a very close family. I tell my mom everything, and I know she won't blab to anyone else about it. My dad travels a lot, but I still love him, talk to him, and joke around a lot with him. I don't tell him really serious things. I tell him, "Crap Dad! My day sucked." Then he'll say, "....Ice Cream?" and I'll shout, "HECK YES!".
But my mom is a person who will shout "PENIS!" then laugh at my dad who is clearly embarrassed. It's all good though. We are crazy Nyam .
Everything but boyfriends and guys that I like, I talk to my friends about that. It's so embarrassing because I have two older brothers with and age gap of 4 and 6 years, and I also have no girl cousins. I'm basically the only girl in my family.
My brother Jake clearly stated to me the other day, "I can't wait until you bring a boyfriend home so I can scare the crap out of him."

I can talk to my parents about certain things. It depends on it but I've got a pretty open relationship with my Parents. I know when to draw the line though and not let it get to awkward. ;)

It depends what I'm talking about. I think I talk to my mum the most, but if it's something bad she's the most likely to fly off the handle and come to all sorts of horrific conclusions, whereas my dad's a bit more chilled about it. But then again, my dad doesn't always listen properly, so that could be a good reason why he doesn't get all heated about things.

But it really does depend on the subject.

    Pfft.
I don't talk to my dad about stuff.
    Just my mom.
The last time I really asked my dad something was about four years ago.
I asked, "Dad, what is a pimp?"
& he said, "I'll tell you when you're older.
I found out from television a year or two later.

I can't talk to either one of my parents about anything.
    Sad
I really wish I could like some people can, but... I can't.
It's not that I have a bad relationship with my parens, it's just that I could never picture talking to my mom about boys, or something. :tehe:

Same with my Dad, even though he tries to get me to talk to him, I know that it's all going to be awkward since we've never really talked before, so I just don't.

I can tell my mom most things that are going on in my life.
    Not that I necessarily do...but I can.

My dad? I can't tell him anything without him overreacting.

I can't talk to them about me, not because I think they won't listen or understand but because I know that their reactions will probably break my heart. There's so many things I haven't been able to tell them. I can't worry them like that.

But my mum is a great person to talk to, even though she gets annoyed when I try to have big discussions at eleven at night. My dad, well, it's just weird talking about personal stuff with him.

I talk to my parents about everything, we're very open with each other. It's funny because some of the conversations I have with my dad are some of the strangest conversations for a father and daughter to talk about. But my mom always slap him on the back of the head and tells him to grow up. :XD

I can talk to my parents, but half the time it ends up being some lecture I wasn't in for. But for things like boys, school, friends, I talk to my sister mostly, she's the perfect person to go to.

A month ago I approached my mom to talk about contraceptives. She was kinda schocked because of that, but then she got all teary and told me she's taking me to get some contraceptive pills.

I was just asking her about something I read and now I have an appointment to get a prescription for contraceptive pills :weird

I can talk to both my parents pretty easily, actually. I'm really grateful for the relationship we have. Then again, there are so many times in a week where I just can't stand to be near em', because they... well, it sounds so preteen to say they don't understand, but they don't, sometimes, y'know? -shrug- Ah, whatever.
