Hands down, he was the best in Edward Sissorhands and Sweeney Todd.

Edward Scissorhands. But I do adore his character in Pirates of the Carribean too.

As a character I have to say he was phenomenal in Scissorhands and the Pirates saga. But if I judge the films, the one that comes out on top for me is Finding Neverland. Such a raw, and powerful movie.

And he didn't have to act that crazy to achieve a spot on performance of a confused man. Wonderful.

I haven't seen all of his movies yet [/badjohnnydeppstan], but before it was a tie between Edward Scissorhands and Finding Neverland. As a character, I adore Edward, but as a performance, I lovelovelove Finding Neverland. Such a beautiful movie. He's so good in Blow, too.

Currently, though, I'm in love with Benny and Joon. It's such an underrated film of his. Not only does he look cute as hell, but he's really funny. It's a really sweet film. Seriously.

And not to sound cliche, but I quite loved him in Alice in Wonderland. Wouldn't say it's my all-time favorite, but he did a great job as the Mad Hatter. I also adore him in Sleepy Hollow. I love it whenever he faints.

Finding Neverland is my favorite at the moment. The combination of Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet is absolutely amazing, and it's just such a great movie. I pretty much sobbed through the entire last half hour.

I wouldn't say that Public Enemies is one of his best movies, but I do think that he did a phenomenal job of portraying John Dillinger as well.

For me it would definetly be the movie Nick of Time hands down. I love that movie. Either that or Secret Window.
