Abraham Lincoln all the way. I don't really remember what started my interest in him, but I've learned so much about him and his story. I've been to Springfield and to his museum, house, and grave. I bought a bunch of books on him (that I still have yet to read lol.) He is the best president we've had and left a major imprint on America.

What's also kind of funny is that I like John Wilkes Booth, too. lol.

    And, Reinette Poisson.
I first heard her name in The Girl In The Fireplace but after that I just had to google her

Anne Boelyn, She was misunderstood and she wasn't what King Henry said she was. And she believed in God before she died, I just felt bad for her that she died for nothing just because he was an arse.

Queen Elizabeth, My fav. Queen, She was very independent and smart and knew what she wanted and had a great fashion sence.

Joeseph from The Bible, ( He's my fav. person in The Bible besides Jesus) Because thru God he could figure out people's dreams, and although his brothers put him in a pit he forgave them for it and save them from a famine, along with many other people as well.

What makes you think that she died for nothing? What gives you that impression? Perhaps we should discuss this on the Tudor thread?

I'm also adding The Kray Twins ot my list. They may not be significant historical figures, but in the UK, and in many places around the Globe, they were iconic for gang members, and the injustice of the justice system. They're amazing In Love

And Leonardo DA vinci because not only because of his beautiful paintings but also the way his mind stretched farther then time!!!!!!!!!!!!And most of his ideas that he tried to invent are the things we have now...wish he was still alive to see it.

Anne Boleyn. I’m not sure why, but she’s always been my favourite out of Henry VIII’s six wives. I just find her fascinating.

Elizabeth Bathory. I know that she was one of the most sadistic women in history, but I just find her incredible. She satisfies my morbid curiosity more than anything, though I frankly think she is disgusting.

There were a few others, I’m sure. But I just can’t remember them right now. I love the Bronte sister’s though; Wuthering Heights is the best romance in history, and I loved Jane Eyre. I’ve visited their home in Haworth so many times, and you can almost feel their presence in the house. It’s amazing. :D

Dr. José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda aka Dr. Jose Rizal. :]
Yes, the dude with the pen who started La liga Filipina, wrote Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.

"Documented studies show him to be a polymath with a propensity for various skills and subjects. He was an ophthalmologist, sculptor, painter, educator, farmer, historian, playwright and journalist. Besides poetry and creative writing, he dabbled, with varying degrees of expertise, in architecture, cartography, economics, ethnology, anthropology, sociology, martial arts, fencing and pistol shooting. He was also a Freemason during his time in Spain and became a Master Mason in 1884."

    -- on Wikipedia

He spoke different languages too. It makes me jealous. According to my Noli Me Tangere book he spoke over 20 or more languages including French, German, English, Latin, Greek, Sanskrit, Portugese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and other stuff I kind of forgot right now.

The last thing he wrote before he was executed was "Mi último adiós".

    ...yeah. :]
