For me, I'd rather not watch two people have sex on t.v. I'd rather watch the Discovery or History Channel, thank you. ;)

But if people decide that that is what they want to do with their life then I guess that's their choice. We shouldn't judge people's choices or preferences, if you like watching it. It's peoples decisions whether they would like to participate in pornography or not. Let them live their life. If they're happy, then I guess we can't do anything about it, can we?

It hurts a lot when your boyfriend looks at porn.. or husband I am sure.
It's pretty much like slapping you in the face and saying,
"Your not good enough for me."

I am sure you know how I feel.
But it hurts a heck of lot.

See, it's the opposite for me. I'm single at the moment, but in past relationships I wouldn't have minded if my boyfriend watched porn, because to me porn is just fantasy. At the end of the day I was the one having sex with him, so it never phased me.
Mind you, I've never been with anyone who was, for example, addicted to porn. I'm talking about once in a while, not every day or something.

I like pornography, and I don't have a problem with people choosing to be a porn star.
Pornography, as strange as it sounds, has actually played a large role in my life. And I'm not joking or being silly. I've been looking at and watching porn since I was quite young (if my memory serves me correctly, I think I was around 8 ) - I'm not going to go into the reasons or circumstances now.

And I somewhat agree with what Disturbia said about "mentally scarring" young children - it does. For me, it didn't necessarily "scar" me as such, but I believe my attitude towards sex has a lot to do with watching pornography at a young age. So it does have an impact in my opinion, but I don't think that impact is necessarily bad. I like the way I am and I wouldn't change the way I feel about porn or sex. But for some it may be different.

However, I also understand that it's hard to know if people (especially women) have been forced into porn. Especially with DVDs and videos, and especially on the Internet. Sometimes, if you really stop and think, it's hard to know who you're watching and whether they chose to be in the film or whether someone forced them into it for whatever reason.
I was nine or ten when I discovered it.
It didn't 'scar' me. In fact, I think if I hadn't discovered it, I'd be going, "EW, SEX!"

I think it's made me more .... mature? when it comes to the idea of sex.

Like said, sex is natural. So what's wrong with enjoying it? I admit, I don't watch or associate with anything porn / sex related but I have asked myself why it's so 'ew' to people my age. I don't know, it's the way society looks at it, youth have added all these terms for things that give them pleasure and it's 'wrong'. Why do we get into trouble for saying "sex", "blowjob", "hickey"? No clue, but we do. It's just society in my opinion.

I've never found anything wrong with porn. Just as long as it's responsible, using the right people its videos (meaning, not children or anyone similar, where something very wrong is going on). There's nothing wrong with making it, or watching it either. (As long as you're old enough to understand it, not like a child that could be potentially hurt by watching it).

Although, there might be a problem with security, and making sure the right people watch it. I mean, I'm willing to admit, I've gone to porn sites, merely out of curiosity; most of them have this one page that must be visited before entering the site, which you can get past most of the time, by pressing the 'Yes I'm Over 18' button, or putting int a fake birthdate, way too easily. Although, I suppose that's pretty hypocritical, as I myself, am obviosly under 18 and faked my way into those sites :shifty. But still, I'm just saying, the sites could be a bit more secure. The wrong people could easily get into those sites, by faking their age, but not really knowing what they are, thinking they are getting into something else that may be for older people, that is not necessarily pornography (I've seen sites, with those entry pages, that manage to not really look like porn sites, at first)

i see nothing wrong with it. We've all seen it before, and you're lying if you've said you've never seen it before. I'd rather my partner watched porn that cheated on me with someone else.

I'm not for it, but if someone wants to go out and whore themselves on a video camera, by all means -- have people call you a tramp/slut/whore. I just have no respect for any of them. :file: No self respect much?

^ Although I value your opinion, I disagree completely.
I think it has nothing to do with self respect, it's a job that requires you to participate in sexual intercourse and I believe there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.
After all, sex is totally natural.

Those "whores" are professionals at what they do and most who make a good living out of it get alot back, like say oh I dunno, owning and running their own company for one, fame, money and all the perks.

So then I don't think they are going to care about name calling by people who are working the regular job getting paid the regular income when these "tramps" are getting paid alot to fuck on camera for people's enjoyment.

^Even though I agree with you somewhat, you can't say that all pornstars are paid a large amount for having sex on camera. In fact, a lot aren't. It's only when you get to, say, Jenna Jameson's status as a celebrity that you actually start to make good money in the adult entertainment industry. I'm not saying it's shit money, but it's not like you're being paid a millionaire's wage or anything.

Never said millions, but quality porn pays well, I don't go in for shitty b class porn. :P

^Fair enough, but I'd suggest that a lot of the dodgy porn people watch on the Internet is quite b-class :XD
Unfortunately, not a lot of porn seems to be well-produced these days, haha.

And, about the whole "self respect" thing:
How can you judge someone if they actually chose to be in the profession? Would you like to be judged on what you choose as a job? Not a lot of people like that. The pornstars may not see it as being disrespecting, and if you're going to automatically judge them just because they're having sex on camera, then what does that say about you? Sex is natural, and I believe as humans we all have a degree of voyeurism in us. We like watching other people having sex, in general. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

My husband and I watch porn all the time together

Between the both of us, I own more porn. Lol.

In a relationship, as long as you're not hiding it from the other - I see no big deal.

That's awesome. I think it's cool that you can be that open about that.

Haha. We're the snarky couple you find in the corner of Adult Video Store Mega Complex, arguing over what porno to buy. We're so weird; it's great.

Couples watching porn isn't weird :shifty

Well, I don't think so anyway. A lot more couples do it than most people would assume.
I think it's kinda cute when I'm in an adult store and I see all these couples in there :XD
