My Ancestors- Fat guy in the 1800's who was poor and made sausages in Germany. A french lady (also in the 1800's) who came here on a boat with eight kids, some Welsh farmer? I don't know; but they were all peasants and moved to America and remained poor. I don't think we can track farther than that. Wahhh.
But also Simon Kenton... he was involved with the Native Americans. Good explorer guy. I think there was someone high up with the Russians or Germans. I don't really remember. I'm Euromutt, so if it was European, my blood was pretty much there.
Not related to anyone as far as I know, but Catherine of Aragon (Henry VIII's first wife) stayed in the castle in my hometown, which led to my dad naming the restaraunt he used to own "Aragons." :cute:
nobody famous I don't think, but my family comes from French aristocracy, and emigrated to england centuries ago as far as I know. We have a family crest and everything :)
^ My grandfather fought for the US war too :cute: He got killed during the war though. I don't know how he looked like either, my mom was only 2 years old when he died.
Anyway, that's all I know >.> even if I was a descendant of someone famous or whatsoever, I wouldn't know. My parents hadn't mentioned anything.
^ My grandma survived in the Japanese war. They sheltered themselves in a cave and lived there eating nothing but vegetables. :shifty
Hmm, related to someone cool... I'll go ask my Mom or something. But I know we are one of the two families that only have this last name. We're like, rare. :tehe:
Okay, My Mom said she and I are Related to Ava Braun [Hitlers wife] and My Dad thinks That He and I are related to Hitler because our last name has "Hit" in It. Oh and also that since his Dad left he knows nothing about our German side, and apparently there nothing about that side and the only things he can find are very shady. :lmfao. My Mom's most likely right. And If My Dad's right too I just find it weird that they found each other.
Oh and I was once told were related to some Italian Dude. I have no idea who though.
Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII for America. My mom's dad was at Pearl Harbor and my dad's dad was in the Navy... somewhere... both survived, which was so lucky.
But my cousin started looking for our family history and it turns out that we originally came from France but the family separated and some went to Italy and others to Mexico, So it's kind of cool I have some french blood in me. :D
On my dad's side of the family, one of my uncles was the prince of Poland, but I don't know which one :|. On my mom's side of the family, I'm related to "Buffalo Bill" Cody.
Both my grandfather's mother and my grandmother's mother were the illegitimate children of dukes. Not sure what kingdom, what duke, or anything of the nature - but there's a big scandalous story that my mother told me.
My great-grandfather, Joseph Hughes, played for Manchester United in his twenties for a brief period of time. He injured his foot in a way which was incurable, back then, pretty early on and it ended his career. Sad.
Not much else actually, although I do have one of the most uncommon surnames in Britain: Kinsman. Everyone called Kinsman is related to us at some point. It's Cornish, I believe.
Also, my Mother is researching the family tree and discovered that I had a Great-Great-Great Aunt that was really loopy. She and her husband got dunk and had an argument which ended in her throwing an oil lamp at him and burning him to death whilst in the presence of a lawyer. She was sent to an insane asylum and eventually killed herself by jumping in the canal.
