Haha, if being the youngest in my family is great, then George W. Bush is the greatest president to ever live.

My older brother is the star of the family; I'm invisible.

Sometimes it can be really nice, like I got a cellphone at an earlier age than all of my older sisters, etc. But my older sisters used to pick on me a lot and I got left out of a lot of things because I was the youngest. :grr: A lot of people also say that parents get more lenient with each child--not true at all with my mother. If anything, she's gotten stricter.

I love being the youngest! I have 4 older sisters and an older brother XD My brother and I always get waht we want, me because I'm the youngest and him because he's the only boy. My older sisters buy me lots of stuff and always take me out for day trips XD

It has it's downsides too I guess, I have to run errands for them and stuff, but I don't mind too much.

Anyone think the whole 'youngest child is most laid back thing?'
I'm definitely the most laid back in my family :)

Nope, it's not that fun being the youngest. I mean, I am not the youngest by a lot... only a minute or two. My twin brother is older than me.

Personally, being the youngest in my situation isn't that great. My parents obviously treat us the same but my older brother thinks that he rules over me sometimes just because he is older. Hog...

Being the youngest is pathetic for me. They act like they love my brother more. Yeah, I get a lot of stuff, but I'd rather have what my brother has. They treat him better because they swear I'm the biggest bitch ever. But yeah, that's how the youngest feels like.

    I'm the youngest.
I got away with everything! It's great!
When it came down to me, my mom, after having to raise my older sister and brother, was probably like: "Eh, to Hell with you little spawn of Satan. Do as you wish". Ha Ha

I personally like being the youngest. I can use the "but you let them do it when they were my age!" over and over again. They're a lot more laid back with me than they ever were with my siblings. But I suppose I don't get the full experience of being the youngest since my older brother has the mental ability of a twelve year old

I look a LOT like my older sister, so I 'borrow' her ID often.
    That's a bonus.

I always get in trouble for the most minor things, while my older sister and brother can get away with murder. I slip and accidentally swear and I'm grounded off the computer for a week. If my sister or brother does it, they don't even get punished...

My parents are more protective of me than my older siblings when they were at that age. Like my sister was allowed out of the house with no parental supervision at 16. My brother, at 15. I'm 15 and I'm still not allowed out of the house with someone else around.

    Gah. It really does suck.

I don't think that it registers to my mother which one out of me and my siblings is the youngest, even though it's me. To be perfectly honest, I don't get spoiled more than any of the others, and even if my mom doesn't tell me things, one of the other two will always tell me. I don't get compared to my sister and brother in any way other than like "Don't make the same mistakes and also do all the good stuff they did." It's never judgmental.

One annoying thing about being the youngest is living alone and getting the full blast of my mother's mood swings, whether it be sad, angry, needy, or happy.

But one good thing about it is that I get a fair amount of attention now that my sister and brother are out of the house and of college. It's not spoiling attention though...more just going out to dinner with my mom a lot and getting a nice pat on the back when I do well on a test.

When I was younger, being the last child was great. Now that I'm older it just sucks. I get blamed for basically everything, And because some of the poor decisions my sisters have made, I couldn't do a lot of things.

I am the youngest of four kids, a brother who is 8 years older than me, another brother who is 7 years older, and a twin sister who is 10 minutes older than me, technically making me the youngest. I really don't get any special treatment from anyone, the only thing is my parents trust me a whole lot more than they did my brothers. That's pretty much all the "Special Treatment" that I get.

the one thing I have mixed feelings about is the fact we're exposed to more and grow up a lot faster than the others.
I love it at some times but then other times I really wish I had grown up at my own pace.

Hmm, I have to disagree :D

I'm the youngest. My brother and parents are basically the 'adults' and I'm the baby of the family. I get left out of everything. People don't tell you important things if you're the baby.

Plus, if you're the youngest, nothing's a big deal anymore. If you have older siblings, you will usually have less childhood photos than them because by the time you do all the funny shit, it's, "Yeah, so what else is new?" because your older siblings have done it all before. You don't always get a lot of attention when it comes to the important stuff.

Plus, you're constantly compared to your older siblings and are expected to do just as well as them in everything :cute:
Completly true! I have my oldest brother whose 19 and my sister whose 18 and it sucks. They both have all these baby books and pictures and so much more. My parents are always telling stories about them and guess what? Nothing about me. I'm constantly being compared to them and my parents always make it seem like my siblings are better even though I'M the one who got into a gifted and talented program and have been in these advanced classes since i was in 3rd grade. Even though I'M the one who does community service and has good grade and a great social life, my parents think my brother and sister are better than me. My brother was kicked out of leadership in 8th grade becasue he was caught drinking. You know what i did in 8th grade, got almost straight 4's in my advanced classes. My sister had been in Avid all her life and has been terrible at school, yyet my parents think shes better, just becuase she decided to become a nurse like my mom. My brother has ditched school and failed so many classes yet he can do no wrong in my fathers eyes. I really can't complain though becuase my siblings take care of me. They make sure i get up for school, do my homework, go to all my after school activities, do my chores, eat my snack, make me dinner, and drive me to all my parties. My parents are hardly home because there work-a-holics and party people. I can hardly cook so my sister does. I'm very forgetfull so my brother has to remind me to do everything. I guess i'm babied but being compared sucks so much more. When youve made so much more achivements and acomplishments i guess you'll always place third when going against the first born daughter and the first born son. Plus hes first bor period so my brother always takes pride over anything. Oh yeah my parents even forgot my birthday once becuase my brother decided to jion the Marines. So my 13th birthday was forgotten. Didn't get anything from any family members, just friends. And they didn't even remember it was my birthday till three months later when my brother left for boot camp. great family huh?
