"They seem to be dropping like flies"
..Sara's the only one who's left.

After what Greg's been through..it's kinda hard to have a sense of humour.

    Huzza for double post.

I hate to ruin the surprise for everyone, but Sara's leave is only temporary. She's pregnant in real life so she left the show until she's had her baby. They're bringing her back in the new season.

i'd be happy to explain! last season they were investegating violent gang attacks to innocent people. the first victim died. now while Greg was driving he got a call or something (can't remember specifically) so he had to go somewhere and he went thought an alleyway as a short cut. while he did so, he saw that the gang that they were looking for was trying to claim a third victim. Greg called it in and was told to stay put until backup came, but he coulnd't just sit there and watch it so he drove thought the gang and scared them all away exept one who kept beating on the guy. Greg yelled at him to get the hell out of there. the guy picked up a rock and started towards Gregs car, so Greg tapped the gas and hit him. shortly after, the rest of the gang showed back up and brutally beat Greg up. sorry to make it so long.

He also survived a lab explosion.

following the episode mentioned above, after the jurors decide that running over one oft he men is excusable. The family doesn't agree and files a civil suit. He also has to convict the brother of murder and the mother flips out on him, even though they just won a million dollars.

That's not what she said in Entertainment Weekly.

    I think I'll believe a real interview over a tabloid ;)

Entertainment Weekly isn't a tabliod, and she actually gave the interview, it wasn't some made up word.
And theres no reason to be sarcastic.

There's no reason to get mad either. Sheesh.
Besides, even if she doesn't come back, the cast isn't "dropping like flies".
It's one character gone, not the entire cast.
She did say that she didn't resign a contract and wanted to explore other options but if the creators had no intentions of bringing her back, they would have killed her off like every other television show does with actors/tresses that leave the show for good.

Not every single series does that. Alot of shows just have their characters leave if they want to leave the show. Law and Order- the first Lawyer left the show, but his character wasn't killed off. Special Victims Unit- a couple of the cops have left the show, but their characters weren't killed off. ER- there are tons of ciculation between characters and not all of them die. So saying that just because she wasn't killed off means she will come back isn't nessicarily true. Plus, this isn't the first time she has had trouble with the creators of CSI, so chances are she won't be back. They already have someone to replace her.

I read that in the offical CSI book. She wanted to start a family. I believe she will be back. The writer did want to kill sara off to start with, but she said quote "I've been on the show for too long for sara to die like that. And I didn't want her to go out like that." end quote or something like that.

I also read somewhere that she does intend to come back just not yet and I think it was the director who said she will be back.

It doesn't matter right now anyway because of that dumb writer's strike >.<

I watch CSI: Crime Scene Investigation every week. It was so sad that Sara left. Grissom looked so sad. I don't think the show is going to last much long tbqh. They seem to be dopping like flies. I'll be sad when and if it does go off the air.
I don't care for the other two. I watched a few episodes when they came out and they just weren't as good as the originals for me.
It happens sometimes with the shows. When one of the main characters leave, a certain show seems to lose its originality. But as I watch CSI - and its spinoffs - I can tell that they have really good filming crew. Just an example, you remember Speed? From CSI: Miami? He was shot but the show didn't lose the style, it has styed true to itself. I know you got used to them but a change can be good (:

I used to love CSI but I think its got a bit stale and repetitive, the only one I still love is New York.

I'm doing forensic science at university and the more I do and the more I watch CSI the more it annoys me. There are so many inaccuracies!!!! The most annoying being is that CSI's NEVER interview witnesses or suspects!!!!!

AND they always show up to crime scenes looking all glamourous and are like "Look, I found a hair" Well of course you did, it just fell from your head!!!!!!!

They're not just CSIs, they're also detectives and stuff (: For example, Mac Taylor from CSI: New York - he's a forensic expert yet detective. Just like Danny Messer from the same show.
