    I'm definitely the same -- if paying slightly higher taxes means that everybody can get the healthcare that they need, then I don't mind! Cute

    I agree with you! The fact that you don't have to pay up to get medical treatment is just amazing. At that point, I'd rather pay highe taxes, than having to pay for seeing the doctors. :)

    As far as I'm aware, the UK is the same (or at least most of Scotland is) because we've got the NHS. It's a really good system, because it means that people aren't struggling along when they really should be getting medical care. Personally, I think that should be the case all over the world!

    All of this is rigth, but one quick thing; In Denmark (just for an example) they don't charge anybody for anything when talking about hospitals/doctor. Going to the ER or just hospital in general, is all free - no matter of you're a EU citizen or not. Smile

    But anyway, what I love the most about the Danish health care system, is that everything is free, unless you chose a private hospital. - This is all because of our Health Care System Card, which btw. doesn't make everything for free in countries like Sweden and Germany.
