Mibbian of the Week: woah tommo!

Effy (known on Mibba as woah tommo!) is a fairly new member of the community who is most active in the realms of fanfiction here on the site. In this week’s edition of Mibbian of the Week, we get to learn a bit more about her!

How long have you been on Mibba?

I have been on Mibba for eleven months! I created my account in mid January of 2015.

How did you find out about Mibba and what made you want to join the site?

I found out about Mibba through a friend back in 2014 but I never joined, for some reason! Then I began writing again, and I had found new things to write about, and then I remembered Mibba! I wanted to join the site just to share my stories, get some feedback to see if there was anything that could be improved. So I clicked sign up and I haven't looked back since!

How often do you log on? How long would you say you spend on the site when you do log on?

I log on everyday, and when I do log on, I usually scroll down my homepage to see what people have been recommending / blogging. If there's nothing to do, I often come back to search for something to read.

Which part of the site are you most active in?

I'm definitely active in blogs and stories, although I'm trying to become more active in other parts, like forums.

How often do you read stories and poems? How often do you comment or recommend the things you read?

I read a lot! I comment if I have good feedback to give, but I often forget to click recommend.

What draws you to the that things you read?

A good plot, nice, tidy layout, a summary that doesn't give the story away, good punctuation/grammar, and consistent characters.

Tell us about a few of your favourite stories/works by other Mibbians

Well, my favourite story at the moment would definitely have to be Lost and Found by Irish Prince Nialler. I also really love No Way of Knowing by the_truth_hurts. And AG8210V by dawn of light.

Are you working on anything on Mibba right now?

I am! I'm doing The Ultimate 2016 Contest, and my first round entry was There's a Spark in You, featuring Phil Lester / AmazingPhil. I also have a chaptered story going on, although it's only a baby at the moment. It's called Dangerously Empty Life and features Daryl Dixon / The Walking Dead and my Original Character, Eleanora.

I think it's safe to say you're a fan of fanfiction! What's your favourite part about writing it?

I am a massive fan of fanfiction! I honestly just love putting my own character into their world, take for example The Walking Dead. I love just taking that situation and doing it how I imagine it would go. It's a lot of fun!

What has been your favourite Mibba experience (something that has happened to you on the site)?

That I was welcomed with open arms! I haven't seen friendlier people, and I seemed to get along with everyone instantly, and to me, that's definitely an experience on Mibba that I'll remember.

Anything you want to say to your fellow Mibbians?

I'm awful with words, but just for them to continue with what they're doing, cause they're great at it!
