The part about God was actually in the story and I thought it stood out.

I find it disturbing that the quote makes God seem like an employer that hired us, that needs us, rather than our Self-sufficient Creator who has a purpose for us, and we really need him.

I guess its a capitalist like thought, just like our society.

The story sounds like a relatable piece though, a lot of people will probably feel better reading something they can understand and an author that plans to inspire them.
