He lay there for several minutes before digging a single cigarette out of his pocket and just before he could light it, a not-so-distant voice called out to him. “Andrew, what have I told you about smoking?” The sound of footsteps on cold grass forced him to look from where he was laying. “Everyone was wondering where you disappeared to.”

“Ah, I figured you -- out of everyone -- would find me, Sadie."

Love is a tricky kind of thing; it can make you feel like you are on top of the world, bring you to tears or it can simply feel like a dream. In this short story written by ChibiPotatoes, he tells us of an event where friendship and love are teetering between more than friends or just friends. Sadie and Andrew are friends, but Sadie is soon leaving on a trip to Europe.

All of Sadie's friends have gathered to say their goodbyes, but Andrew has decided to be alone. When she finds him, Andrew begins to think about his feelings for her. He believes that they do not matter, but Sadie manages to coax it out of him. As the two talk about what happened between them, Andrew fell asleep with Sadie there by his side.

This story is a very relatable one; any reader can put themselves in Andrew's shoes. When you love someone and they are about to go away, how do you decide to tell them how you feel? Do you let them pass you by or do you stop them and pour your heart out? ChibiPotatoes' story is wonderfully written and will definitely hit you in the heart, possibly even making you remember a friend who could have been something more.
