very nice. :)
and your welcome. :]May 2nd, 2009 at 05:50pm -
However, I would like to say one thing. My poems may not make sense to the literal eye, but buried deep underneath the surface, there do exist grains of meaning. If you peeled back all the confusing outer layers of everything I wrote, what would you find? Why, you would find my heart. Pure and simple. I don't write anything I don't plan on putting my heart in, because otherwise, why bother to write? And my heart is confused and confusing; and so is my head, confused and confusing. And I'm just trying to sort it all out, to find a little beauty and meaning in it by putting it in words. Isn't that what we're all trying to do, with life?
And so, I have said my piece.April 23rd, 2009 at 06:51am -

I read your poetry and thought they were written fairly well for someone your age. But don't be afraid to try new things with your works. New ideas, new formats, and new styles of writing. You could also try taking things from your thoughts that people wouldn't really think about and make it into a descriptive and elegant poem.
How long have you been writing, I'd like to know?April 21st, 2009 at 07:23am -
Art is subjective. I regret to tell you that my opinions remain unchanged. I agree that the degree of meaning trumps the length (e.g. haikus, I find, can be very moving and eloquent in only three lines), but the main thing for me was that I'd heard it before. And it's just that, personally, I hold originality very high in my standards.
Anyway - again, art is subjective. I don't mind what anyone thinks of my poetry, it gave me something in writing it, and it has touched at least one person in some form or another, and that's what makes me happy.
Maybe I was a little too harsh, I guess. I mean, when I was thirteen, I was only just starting to write poetry seriously. I guess it was a combination of that, and some random person popping onto my page out of nowhere and asking me to read their poems - sort of like what PixiStix said.
But alright, truce.April 21st, 2009 at 04:01am -
You're welcome.
Sure. No problem. :))April 20th, 2009 at 10:20am -
Critiqued your poems. You probably won't like most of what I said, but hey - you asked, you got it.April 20th, 2009 at 04:58am

you're gonna overwhelm the newbies if you attack them with request to view your comments the moment they get their cyberfoot in the door
and you spelled "check" wrong in your welcome.

shocker: More than 80% of my whole grade did not know who Edgar Allan Poe was until ninth grade.
