Things were going bad. We've got the whole Saturdays of February and March packed up with school. :(

You?

Another awfully late reply. Sorry about that sis, I've got this wacko internet connection, and I don't have much time in my hands. :( Sorry..

Hey! I've got my college thingies all set up, thanks to you!!!! Mwuah!
First off, I'm taking programming, along with my bestie at this school where my brother teaches and is studying for Masterals degree (so I have a discount), then after I'm finished with that, I'd apply at my brother and his colleague's company and at weekends I study language.

Then, when I'm bored and had enough experience and of course, earned money, I'd study culinary for two years? {I think} Then I would go to Portugal where a churchmate lives because I'm going to be a translator for the church ministries. :)

How's that?

Lemme guess, he ate too much for the holidays? :D

I do hope so! Thank you so much!

Wow! That's cool! College seems a lot easier once you get past the harsh days.

I'm sorry about that. I'm glad that he's now feeling better. :)

I'm feeling pretty good about this option, I'm going to ask my brother if there's such a course here. :)
How's your school going?

I am sorry for the delayed reply: AGAIN. :(
I do hope you understand. I was busy with festivities and all that stuff for the Holidays. :)
---------------------------------

It was fabulous! You?
Hmm. Literature. Seems like a good choice. But then, my parents don't necessarily agree with my writing, saying that it's not really a wise choice for someone who has responsibilities to her family.

But I'm guessing there's some Language involved in here too?

Here's a little illustration of what I want to take as a course.

LEVEL 1 (something I want to do really badly) : Culinary, Linguistics
LEVEL 2 (something I want to do) : Writing
LEVEL 3 (options that my brother suggests I should try, and I think I would enjoy): Computer Programming

Ahaha. Here's an illustration of the conflicts with each Level.

Level 1: Culinary is too pricey. Linguistics? Ain't no such thing as a course like that here. You take language lessons instead, and they cost much as well.

Level 2: As if I could be this famous writer? Or even an accomplished one. Even if I become one, I doubt people would buy my books.
And besides, my parents don't support my writing.

Level 3: Does it involve any Math in it? I hate Math. And besides, I've lounged too much in front of the computer anyway.

That's the problem. I don't have any other options.
I have some, but they aren't really that realistic, and they don't have the same level of my anticipation. :)

Sigh.

Absolutely fine. :)

Nope, my brother did actually. He said there weren't many culinary schools out there, and those few of them are really pricey.

He said maybe I could have some other option for college courses.

I'm sorry that this took so long before I replied. I was busy with so many things, trying to wrap up my lessons before the Christmas Break. I hope you understand.

State universities? Can you please explain?

There's a specific Culinary School here in our country, and that's the lowest price I've yet inquired. :(

Sigh. Any suggestions?

I know, it's just unfair. Culinary here is a bit pricey. Like 500,000 Php here. Per month. And you provide all the ingredients. :(

I know! It has a little bit of everything. I wish there was a course like that in our county. :(
Hmm, I like history. And traveling, and cultures. And food, and computers. :)

Two more years to go before I go to college. :)
And I'm just 14.

We start college here by the normal age of 17.

Your welcome!
Oh! So you ARE translating from other languages! That is so cool! I want to study something like that when I'm in college, I just hope I don't flunk too much and I enjoy it.

Congratulations! I wish you good luck!

Yeah, I get that a lot too. :D
Oh, and I thought you were translating texts with different languages. :D

By course, I meant, the expertise you're studying. Like 'Law' or 'Computer Science' or 'Business' or 'Culinary'.
Of course the terms are different in my country and yours. :D
