    it's okay so far.
my conductor's been in a pretty good mood, so yeah.
we're practicing 2moro for the mid-autumn celebration on friday - at first we wanted to play 'spirited away' but it's the last day of the 7th month, so we decided against it.

    okay, i guess.
went to the library - this book that i really really want to borrow was supposed to be returned by 11/9 (i.e. friday), but apparently it was still on loan, so.
got a bit pissed off - i just HATE those inconsiderate people. I mean, even though the fine for overdue books are only S$0.05 per day, it's still unfair to those people who've been waiting for it for a long time.
(that person renewed it too! - in S'pore you can get a free one-time renewal of bks if you aren't able to finish reading it by 3 wks. AND THE BOOK WAS OVERDUE. 6 wks - aargh.)
    and I have a piano exam 2moro.
    at 9.39am.
    skipping sch for the day.
    blegh.

erm when it's your streaming year it means that your results will determine the class you go to - whether it's a good one or a bad one, or in my sch's case, if you have to sit for O levels.
that's the national exam you take after normal secondary school, at 16.
but our school has the Integrated Programme (IP), so we get to skip that and just take the A levels at 18 instead, which is what people take after junior college, so.
actually in most schools, the students are already streamed once they leave primary school, but in my sch they just randomly placed us in different classes until our 2nd year.

    it depends, i guess.
i mean, if you're the one streaming, it'll be less interesting to you and more WTH i guess.

    i guess.
year 2's our streaming yr - before that they randomly placed use in classes, so this yr's been pretty hectic.

    WOW CLEVER.
    O.o

my school's one of the top 5 in S'pore, but then again the country's so small there are only 100-200 schools in total - so.

    not exactly 'good'.

today was the last day of term 3; the next term (i.e. last term of the year)'s gonna be really heatic, with the EOYs and all.
it turned out that 19th Oct's Deepavali, so there's a public hol instead of the chinese paper II we were supposed to take.
so now i have both history and chinese on the same day (14th oct) - A DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY.
and it just so happens that my worst subject is chinese and even though i like history i still have to memorise a lot of facts.
and i have geog on my birthday.
    whoopee.

    nah.
    bassoons cannot march.
    ours' symphonic band.
i.e. you sit on a bunch of chairs and get fat while playing in concerts.

    cool!
we never got to stay overnight.
i.e. we wake up at 5 to take the bus to school for band, which starts at 7.30, and reach home at 8.30 when band ends at 6.
i'd rather stay for a whole day.

i'm fine, i guess, since BAND TEST IS FINALLY OVER! :D

okay, so i'll fail and everything and the conductor's face could rival the whats-it-name typhoon in taiwan and win hands down, but whatever.

and i got back my sci and math tests today (18/20 and 23/30 - 1 mark to A+! -sad-) and they were okay, so.

    btw how was your camp?
    it's overnight right?

    yeah maybe i'll do that.
not a very high chance it'll work though, since my band conductor is absolutely temperamental.
    btw, how was your day?
