wow, that sounds really cool. I have a couple of music major friends who attend Wayne State and they're really strict on which classes to take, but the professors are amazing. One has to drop his minor because his schedule is so full of classes.

I just read your 'Feminist Manifesto', and I thought that leaving a simple story comment would not be enough to describe how much that article inspired me. It was, epic!

The article was written in pure anger at the view of the New Right party. I lived in a traditional family for the first four years of my life and it was brilliant having both my parents looking after me at once, but my family is better off being separate. This article was supposed to be biased, in the respect that I'm highlighting the positives of alternative and just as decent families.

I wasn't intending to say that abuse and failure and similar happenings only happen in nuclear family, because they don't, and neither does oppression, I was just typing up the notes I got from my Sociology lesson.

I'm also not saying any type of family is perfect - in all honesty, yes family is important for growth and socialisation, but it's not as important as Functionalists and New Right highlight; the other agencies such as Education and Mass Media are almost as important, if not just as - I was just going from my personal experience, thus making it my opinion and biased.

I know not all children from single-parent families - and other families - are as law abiding and as hard-working as those that I know (every one of my group of friends is from a single parent family - very few people I know have their two parents under one household), I was again using my personal experience as a conclusion.

And trust me, I know how easy and sometimes stupid it is to divorce nowadays. My 'father-in-law' (as my mother darlingly calls my boyfriends dad) was divorced from his wife because she said he wouldn't wash up or go to parties (they had a dishwasher and he was looking after the younger version of the boy I love today). Plus, my mum just upped and left my dad - I don't even know the reason.

Thank you for the comment, by the way. Some of your points were incredibly constructive and will help me make my articles a lot better and in some cases more impartial, so that my conclusion at the end actually is highlighted as my opinion.
