To unconfuse you, time did pass, but it wasn't the main factor that was occurring in this.Seven years though, to be exact, and I only know that because it is a real story about my mother. You see, he acted like a perfect man, and everything was going so well. But he had anger issues, and would often lash out on us for idiotic things. The whole point of this was the transaction between him being a good guy and a bad guy.

And that’s what makes poetry interesting. After all, what one doesn’t like another person does, and styles change to reflect that. The commas are just something I’m not a fan of, but it does work with your poem.
