I seriously think you will love it and don't even worry about the transition, you'll probs have a roomie from minnesota so they will show you the ropes!

scholarships are really nice, that's also why i went to umd, they gave me a half instead of a quarter, it really makes a difference

yeah U of M is definitely an amazing school, one of the best in the midwest no doubt and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. you should really go to some football games in the new stadium, it's beautiful. i don't even like football all that much, but i went and i loved it.

Duke is ridiculously expensive, for sure! It's a good school and all that (totally pains me to say this) but I hate Duke haha. I'm a University of North Carolina fan through and through.

U of M is great too though. You do mean UMinn, right?

definitely! that's really exciting! it's great to get away from home, which is why i chose UMD over the U twin cities =]

we get lots of snow and sometimes they suck at plowing. but if you're down on campus it is better. just in my city they suck.
but you'll get used to it. I have friends who have moved here and adjust after the first two years.
