=)
Just a reminder that you entered my Sins and Virtues contest.
The deadline was today, but has been extended to the end of this month.
If you have forgotten:
Your sin is Indulgence
I'd really love to read it, if you'd still like to write it =P
If you need a link to the contest, message me.
Thanks!
Did I ever respond to your comment on my uniform journal? I can't remember exactly, but I don't think I did.
Anyway....our uniforms wouldn't have been uniform. We would have had different shades of green, gold, or white (well, I hope not white). Plus, the khaki pants wouldn't have been the same either. So really, it was an idiotic idea to even have.
I suppose they figured that 52% to 48% was too slim a difference to make us change.
Well, some people haven't heard of Dan Brown (for some ungodly reason) so I just refer to him as the Da Vinci Code guy and people understand who he is.
I can't wait for it. =)
Though I don't have it pre-ordered.
I was watching the Colbert Report the other day and his intro was talking about the Pope breaking his wrist. And Colbert says, "Dan Brown, get out your pen."
I really liked Deception Point. But Digital Fortress was amazing too. And of course, there's the whole Robert Langdon series. It's very hard to pick.
I got it from Dan Brown's novel Digital Fortress. You should totally read. (Dan Brown's the Da Vinci Code guy.)
This dude (he was a master at languages) would always sign his letters to his girlfriend with "Without wax" and it drove her crazy. Finally, she asked what it meant.
"Way back when, when they were making statues, many would chip and they would have to fix the error with wax. Every now and then, however, one wouldn't break and was considered flawless. It had no wax. Sin cera. Without wax."
Of course, he said it much more elegantly, but the thought's still the same. Sincerely.
Yeah, I think it's a law that you can't go to the movies by yourself, actually. =)
I loved the fifth, and just liked the sixth. Even my mom (who hasn't read the novels) sensed the absense of Dumbledore's funeral.
I really liked the opening scene though.
As for Harry Potter, my mom and I always go see them. I liked the sixth, but I still maintain that my favorite is Order of the Phoenix. My seeing it in Latvia is a only a slight draw; I really like the fifth because it sort of looped around and had a more complete ending.
Well, my English teacher is crazy.
My writing? Well, I haven't been writing all that much lately. I still have four (five including yours) contests to complete and a little story for my non-Mibbian friend.
Anyway...
Necesito ir a Taco Bell para comprar tacos por mi madre y yo.
(I need to go to Taco Bell in order to buy tacos for my mother and me.)
I suppose Scottish (British, really) people sound sort of sharp. I mean, comparing Scottish English to American English (not just any American either -- Southern American). So I guess we sound sort of flat.
