Thanks so much for the comment on Hockeytahn. ;)
I had to put the Sharks in the finals with Pitt and then I re-read it and was like, "Oh, the irony." lol
And who knows. After everything else gets finished up I may continue on with Jordan and Holly.June 20th, 2010 at 02:47am -
People from Boston are apparently crazy? I dunno, if I was a Red Sox fan I'd hate Ramirez, too--he took himself out of the lineup for a bogus injury and randomly went inside the left field wall to talk on the phone once. And the Sox have a lot to catch up to in their division--New York, Tampa, and possibly Toronto are ahead of them.June 20th, 2010 at 02:44am

Not a rivalry per se, but the Dodgers' star used to play for the Red Sox, acted up all the time, demanded a trade and finally got one, and this weekend is his homecoming of sorts. And it just had to conicide with the Lakers-Celtics series, so the Boston fans are more...bloodthirsty, I guess.June 20th, 2010 at 02:22am

At least the Red Sox are beating the Dodgers...so Boston fans can feel a little bit better in their rivalry with LA, although the baseball one is maybe a fraction of a percent of the basketball one. Bryant is a great player; he's very dynamic and he's really figuring things out. It's hard to believe he's 30; he seems so young!!June 20th, 2010 at 12:20am

Haha yup. Bets can do that...I'm glad you won it!
The series could have gone either way, though. Both teams were somewhat inconsistent.June 19th, 2010 at 05:06pm -
Did you bet on the Lakers?June 19th, 2010 at 12:04am

They don't let the goalie fight? That's horrible. Maybe there's a cheat code somewhere that lets you?June 17th, 2010 at 03:07pm

Smith got ontop of Chris Neil and started pummeling him and the linesmen were on the other end of the ice, so that lasted for at least 5-10 seconds. There was a fight in front of Howard's net (they were just kinda shoving one another) and Howard got someone shoved into him so he shoved the guy who shoved the other guy into him but it was at the end of the game and the linesmen were there already and they just cursed one another out, I think.
The Smith fight can be found here: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=35&id=65470&intcmpid=nhl-vidmod-hpJune 17th, 2010 at 01:03am -
Dunno, there were a couple of goalie fights this year. Smith and Howard, I think? And if you go back to that Senators vs. Flyers preseason game where it was like a 0-on-0 cause they were all in the penalty box, the goalies fought against one another. It was pretty epic. I don't think they're allowed to wear a letter because of the inconvenience of skating over to talk to the ref and leaving the net wide open? Could be wrong, though.June 16th, 2010 at 10:00pm

Ya never know...Luongo might decide to pull a Hextall some day. I love goalie fights, so I kinda hope he does.June 16th, 2010 at 01:44pm

Yeah...I was at a game and he pushed Chris Kunitz into the Penguins' bench. And they were all on top of him and he totally didn't care. And then this one time against the Rangers, they were hitting him a zillion times and his helmet came off and he kept playing with complete disregard for his head safety. Fell down with it off once, too. And he sealed the second seed in the conference with an empty-net goal in the final seconds of a game against the Sabres. And he's going to be such a tough act to follow; in a perfect world he'd just stay captain forever and ever and ever because the only other guys on the team who'd do that would be Zubrus or Elias, and they're just as old as he is...June 16th, 2010 at 04:25am

You are only the second Stamkos fan I know of. Everyone I talked to after the draft thought the same thing, that he wouldn't live up to the hype. I was thinking about joining a pool this coming season. they seem so fun.June 11th, 2010 at 06:10pm
