OMG YES my exams are D-O-N-E, done. Yup, only now I’ve got a raging headache and strep throat. Not too happy about it, but whatever. I actually don’t mind the semester system. Sure you’ve got the same boring shit everyday, but the courses go a lot faster and don’t drag on. Plus, I’ve got an easy second semester: French and English are probably two of my faves, math…not so much, but I can fake it, and first period art is gonna be my new doing-last-nights-homework-b/c-I-procrastinated class. I’ve got it all figured out.

I know! Tyer Bozak is such a big gamer. He’s kind of a loser that way, but whatever floats your boat, I guess. I’m not really much of a gamer, but I like COD, just sayin’ BANG! BANG! BANGITY BANG! I knew it! Hey now that Stastny’s been added, maybe we’ll see some all star bangin’. I haven’t watched that show in a while, but I’m planning to pick it up some time, eventually. I haven’t been watching TV much lately except for sports and news. My friends have been on my back about Castle, Nikita, and Glee; I’ll probably just read the Wikipedia summaries to satisfy them. And never will they get me to watch Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder is not worth it.

Dancing is a bigger workout that you’d think. People think that dancing’s soft, but baby, it’s a sport. If darts and curling are sports than so is dance. Not like an OLYMPIC sport, but ya know…I like curling though, me love some K-Mart. Aw I love Flower, his accents kind of cute in a funny way. Did you see the pens shootout/practice before the winter classic? “Fuck off you bitches!” Hilarious. Sebastien Toutant! I saw the report about him on TSN this morning: “the jumps were small and the rails were shit”; I like this guy.

Komi is such a dud, I swear the Carolina ice girls are getting more ice time than him. LIKE A BOSH. You know I just read that half our salary caps going to defence and goaltending, yet our GAA is 24th in the league? Oh hell no. I like Kaberle and Schenner, but you gotta stop giving pucks away and skate a little harder, dammit. It makes it even tougher on the goalies when your d-men are as useless as ours. Sucks for Eberle, though, and in his rookie year, too. Goodbye Calder. I can’t wait for the ALL STAR draft. I kinda want to see the Sedins go head to head and Staals, too. I remember that time when Marc took down Jordan. I’m telling mom! Sibling rivlaries never get old.

I like CFL, too. Argos are like the only decent Toronto-based sports franchise. I have no hopes for Leafs (Ron Wilson+Brian Burke=last place team) and Raptors….just, no. I miss Gretzky, I bet he could still play on the top line in Toronto.

Yeah, seems like it would've been hard NOT to have fun writing that. Still gives me a laugh... :)

It’s ok, I’m sorry, too. EXAMS MAN. Lol I put together a playlist of music from each decade while I was studying for history. Now I will forever associate Meech Lake Accord with Vanilla Ice. Perfect.

Matt Duchene watches Jersey Shore? Haha, he watches too much TV. I swear that bang bang dance is from How I Met Your Mother or something. My notebooks are covered in doodles, many of which I hope my teachers never see…Hey, is it cold in BC, cuz in Toronto it’s like -30 with windchill. Thank god it’s exam week and I get to stay home most days. You know, we always talk about the weather, it’s like we’re old people, haha. I hate it when girls complain about the cold when they’re only wearing little skirts and thin jackets. I’m like we live in Canada, people, go invest in a parka and a toque, it’ll go a long way. Power outtages are so much fun. Last one we had my boyfriend and I roasted mini marshmallows on toothpicks over a candle. Because we’re that ghetto…

Ugh, I know, I put my people to shame with my badminton skills. My grandpa gave up trying to teach me a long time ago. I usually dance in front of a mirror in the basement, lol. Mostly contemporary/jazz. Stuff I make up. My guy friends are trying to teach me to break, but so far progress is slow. I’d love to see your requirements list, yes, the hubby-breakdown shall happen. I love Quebec accents, I try to do it, I fail, but it’s pretty darn sexy. Kris Letang, anyone? I can’t think any other good ones at the moment, help me out.

So I went to the CHL top prospects game last week and it was pretty awesome. Just being in the same room as Don Cherry makes me feel complete, and also a strange urge to buy a floral suit. And Gilmour, too, TEACH ME HOW TO DOUGIE! Nugent-Hopkins definitely stepped up and deserved player of the game, though he was kinda awkward at the end, trying to lift up the trophy. Are you looking forward to the entry draft and how do you think it’ll play out? Who are your favourites? I’ve seen Landeskog play in OHL and he is a freaking beast. Hey you heard about Komi’s woman-beating accusations in LA? Pretty ridiculous. When asked he was all like…uh, Burky told me not to say anything. Nice one, sunshine, keep away from the nightclubs. And Marc Savard injured again? Is he not the unluckiest bastard ever? He should start stuffing the air pockets in his helmet with 4 leaf clovers or something, there’s a dark cloud looming over him, alright. What is it with All Star selectees coming down with injuries: Crosby, and now possibly Eberle and Hemsky (I read your blog)? And the concussion debate continues. Personally I like Cherry’s idea, get STOP sign stickers and paste them onto your helmets. Hey, you can get your whole club done with just 4 dollars. Speaking of hits, DION!! Pierre McGuire’s having an orgasm somewhere in a corner. Did you see highlights of the Leafs game last night cuz I could just go on and on…I think we all learned something: 1. King MacArthur can THROW DOWN and 2. Jiggy is a bumbling fuck, and our d-men aren’t helping at all. Sorry I ranted for so long. I think I should seriously start a blog. After tomorrow’s exam!

Btw: do you follow football? Green and yellow all the way. Happy bday to 99, too.

Oh my freakin gosh, I watched an entire episode of Jersey Shore yesterday. Bitch, I blame you for corrupting my brain. Just kidding, but it was a new intelluctual low for myself. Now I’m gonna go read my history textbook and think about what I’ve done. Haha, it’s not that bad though. I’m a hypocrite. Loved the ball rescue, they’re not as dumb as they look, lol. Ugh, to be honest I’m getting sick of this snow, or slush now I guess. Feel bad for those girls wearing cute little ankle boots. Those fluffly little bastards are no match for this weather. I like blizzards, watching from the inside world, of course. But then the power goes out and we have a problem…

I was never good at basketball, I have terrible aim, but oddly I was good at shooting. Like I’d miss really easy shots but get the 3 pointers or from odd angles. My friends always make fun of me for it. I can’t play badminton or ping pong, don’t let the Asian fool ya. Tennis is fun, but I suck at it, and I’m a terrible swimmer. I’m really getting into dance, maybe I’ll take lessons during the summer. I feel a lot less flexible than when I did gymnastics though. Will start stretching some time…

I have a certain standard for future hubbies, like a point system, I’ll break it down for you some other time, but I cannot stress this enough, gingers=happy forever. I’m kidding, lol. You know what would be great though? A ginger with an accent. French-Canadian, Russian (try saying soviet russia with an accent, very amusing and got me through my history presentation), I’ll take anything. Tim Hortons recently came out with blue and white “leaf” donuts. I think their motto is “hopefully we can help them win some games and if not maybe they can help us sell some doughnuts.” It’s on sale whenever leafs have a home game. Perfect chance to put my timcards to some good use and not just caffeine.

Haha, Army’s a trooper. I know, we lost, but to be honest when I heard Lebda was filling in for Versteeg my first reaction was 4 in a row isn’t bad. And you guys lost too, damnit! My perfect 2011 game prediction streak ended. And I was in first place too, you know. Leafs dished more turnovers than Arby’s combo deal. They seemed so out of it, oh well, I’m not too sad about it, you can’t expect them to improve so drastically all of a sudden. My rationale: they were in Pheonix, hockey doesn’t belong there. I hate those people who are all over Reimer now, give the kid a break. And did u hear about Wilson’s fine? Apparently giving a player 600 bucks in good fun is a cap salary violation. Right, cuz 600 bucks is gonna take Gunnarsson far in life. You can hate the dude, but you can’t deny McGuire provides real quality entertainment. Double Dion all the way.

I love mindless television. Dumb humour beats intellectual humour EVERY TIME. Well, no, but it sure is a lot more enjoyable. We just got like 10 cm more last night. I hate it when people on the news say there’s gonna be bad weather because of snow. I like snow, ok?

I used to do so many sports: skating, gymnastics, cross country, track, soccer, vball, hockey, and football. Yeah, I was such an overachiever. The one I regret quitting the most is probably skating. I loved gymnastics, too and I tried to get back into it, but the balance is just not there anymore. I dance sometimes, but I’m taking lessons or anything. I’ll have the weirdest cravings, I bet I’m gonna drive my future French ginger husband crazy if I’m pregnant. I really wanna get leafs donuts right now. Next home game I’m getting a dozen.

After a week to reflect I realise maybe we were too hard on the players. I feel bad because of all my post-game comments, the nit-picking. I think Babcock put it best, I’m still so proud of them no matter what and no 18 or 19 year old should be apologizing profusely to their country or feel like they’re carrying a nation on their shoulders. It’s like the olympics when Melissa Hollingsworth lost in skeleton. They are so friggin amazing and the future of the NHL is looking pretty good. I used to like Ben Eager, but that was a real dick move. Ha, I think he took his visor off during the LA game or something. Speaking of Leafs, 4 in a ROW?? This is madness. The city’s going nuts. Well not really. Busta Reims!! I wouldn’t mind if Giggy was out for a couple more weeks…Haha, I need to eat more quality candy. I’m still going through my bro’s leftover halloween candy. People in Toronto give out some nasty shit, no joke.

Oh Pierre. How I love thee. If it weren’t for him hockey today would make a lot more sense.

Ha, I used to love watching those shows. You know I actually sat through like half the episode of the season premiere. Painful, yes, but I found it funny in a really stupid way. These people are hilariously ridiculous. I know! Jessi always wears the weirdest/most amazing clothes. I think I definitely have a thing for redheads, but Bush likes oil and no one questioned that…Speaking of snow, IT SNOWED!!! Like a lot, too, I nearly busted my back digging out the driveway. And it’s a lot colder now. Yesterday I woke up early and froze my ass off taking pictures cuz the lighting was so perfect. I feel like I’m getting way too excited over snow this year. Fuck you, global warming.

You dance? So do I, though not lately. I used to be a gymnast too, but I quit cuz I busted my tailbone. I seriously need to get into better shape. And stop shoving crap down my throat at odd hours. Oh I remember the beep test! Everyone hated it, but I didn’t think it was that bad.

Omg, I was so in shock after the game, I couldn’t believe it. It seemed like our blueline, which was so good before, just choked or didn’t show up. I hope you feel better about it. Oh well. I loved the twitter and facebook jokes everyone was posting right after the game. “Canada collapsed faster than the former USSR” is a personal favourite. In the third we started playing like we already won and Vizzy, oh boy. 5 goals on 10 shots is a fucking disgrace, no offense. It’s a wakeup call that we gotta work harder and stop thinking that we’re the best because this year we weren’t. And the Russian postgame was so hard to watch and they completely butchered their anthem. I saw the Canadian players crying and it made me want to cry, too. Next year, maybe. Like they said, you don’t win silver, you lose gold. Gosh, their play in the third reminded me of a leafs game; it’s true, now the rest of canada knows what it’s like to be a leafs fan. Speaking of leafs, they are 3-1 in the new year. Man, I didn’t see that coming. You have generally 3 types of leafs fans: the optimist (“we can still make playoffs!” me: “do you own cable?”), the angry one (my boyfriend), and the pessimist, like me. I think their good play is probably a fluke, but I hope they prove me wrong. AND 9-3 EH? I like Thrashers, but damn did their goalies fail them. Good for us though. By the way, did you watch the HBO series 24/7? Just started watching it now, it’s hilarious. Backstrom and Fleury :DD Oh and white rabbit is my haven. Well, it was, anyways. Haven’t had em in years. After that game I had to lock myself in my room and gorge on shortbread while listening to 90’s greatest hits to get me through the night. I didn’t take it well.

McGuire is like the biggest joke of NHL commentary. He’s very quotable though, eg: Dion Phaneuf “became a man after that hit”, “Shea Weber Velocity”, “if you see Tim Thomas without his clothes on, you can't tell he's a professional athlete”. LOL Love the drinking game, though.
Drink one gulp of your drink if Pierre uses any of the following:
    -Big Body Presence
    -Active Stick
-Calls a Player "Special" or " a fine young man"
Drink two gulps of your drink if Pierre:
-Giggles at any point during the game
    -Cuts off Gord Miller
-Goes nuts when a team, has too many men
-Says something extremely gay (eg: big stick)
Have three gulps of your drink if Pierre...
    * Mentions a Sutter brother who isn't involved in the game
    * Says the Game is a Classic!
    * Uses his famous line "He suckin' dirty pond water"
    Chug a beer if Pierre:
    * Has an Orgasm at the mike
    * If Pierre ruins the moment, aka butchers the call. (eg: Eberle ties the game in WJC 2009 with 5.5 seconds left.... Gord Miller: Can you Believe it!..Pierre: I can!)
Whoever made this is an angel. For real. And maybe I won’t have to move just yet…*praypraypray*

I just thought I'd add that I've gone back and edited quite a few of the obvious spelling errors and whatnot. Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such an insightful, open comment. In a way, I'm glad I could stir up some emotions. (Especially if you're as strong as you say.) It lets me know I'm doing my job as a writer. :) Thanks again.

Aw, I'm so glad you liked it. I really had to think about where this one was going to go. But I'm actually really glad I ended up with a team I don't usually think about writing. It gave me a challenge and I really had to sit down and figure it all out. :)

Could I ask where you saw the errors just so I could fix them? I don't expect you to change you rulings, but I would like to correct my mistakes. A lot of times I'll write the way I talk...and it unfortunately leads to some mistakes.

I also have an issue with women's jerseys. I refuse to own them. :)

Finally, I'm really glad this didn't end up cheesy because that was one thing I tried desperately to avoid. I hate the stories where it becomes a "he saw me in the crowd, fell in love instantly and we'll be together forever" type thing. I'm honestly always afraid I'll develop things too quickly and it'll turn into something like that. Thank you for your boost of confidence!

Ha, that’s 1/8 more than me. Ugh, not you too. I get Jersey Shore has become this huge phenomenon, but let’s be real, these people are so freaking overrated and stupid. I find it funny to watch, but it further indicates the “dumbing down” effect of tv. Haha, I remember dying after watching it on tv, RUB AND TUG. Can’t wait for new episodes of MTV live, it’s a guilty pleasure of mine, though it’s not as good as before. I miss Jessi, another notorious redhead. I think we (I) have a fetish going on…The congestion is not so bad, I mean Beijing hosted 2008 and you can’t get any more congested than that. We actually don’t have much snow this year, I haven’t even had to break out the shovel yet. There’s snow up north in Lindsay, snow down south in Sarnia, but just not here. Pretty unbelievable. Nonetheless, my brother’s snow shoveling business is failing.

Aw, don’t be embarassed. At least you have enough balls to yourself out there. I’ve always wanted to make one, but I’m way too lazy. Maybe that’ll be my new year’s resolution. Do you play rugby? I can never do contact sports, except like street or shinny hockey, which isn’t that physical. I’m thinking about doing flag football or track this spring or maybe field hockey in fall. I used to be a lot more athletic, but again, I’ve been so lazy lately.

None of my friends use twitter. I know, it’s sad, but it’s alright. Right now I’m just using it to get updates, stalk people (kidding..), and get promotion type stuff. I got 2 free tickets to see CHL top prospects game from Monika. WIN. Nugent-Hopkins and Couturier, enough said. Though Couturier better redeem himself tonight, missing an opportunity like that was inexcusable. I thought Visentin was never really tested. I mean he made good saves, but I expected that from him, so I guess I’m still waiting for him to wow me. I still like Roy, though, just sayin.

I know a couple russkis and I’m pretty sure they speak Russian. Take some extra vodka for me. But don’t get crazy…How could you not like McGuire? IT’S A DOUBLE DION!! It amuses me when he gets the players’ names mixed up and mispronounces European players. But hey, at least we can play the McGuire drinking game. Last time we played it, OY. He is a commentating god. Lol, by the time TO comes out on top, I’ll probably be either dead or dying. Maybe I should relocate to Vancouver or Montreal.

haha thanks! I wanted to add a friend of Seraphina's during the trip so it brings something different and for Eli to hang out with at times since they tend to have the same personality. Anum is actually a good friend of mine on this site, she's my immortal and I asked her who she would like since Nando is pretty much taken, she picked Ramos and I knew it was perfect because he is delicioso. :) It's alright winter homework is a killer, I hated those types of things and wanted to get done with it as soon as I can. So no worries.

ADDY, long time no reply, lol. You’re part white? Damn, maybe you’ve got ginger in you. I’d be mad jealous. Johnny T needs to stop watching Jersey Shore. I know hockey players are big on the fist pump, but don’t they already lose enough brain cells on the ice? The Snooki thing really made me question his intelligence. I couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or not. Who knows, it’s captain “serious”. Omg I love Paul too. Did you see his interview with Tyler/Taylor? So awkward, yet funny. Ok, so the eyes are THAT crazy, but he kinda seemed like a douche in some parts of the interview. Maybe it’s just me. I loved how he actually read the statement and trailed off at “financial compensation”. You’re so lucky you got to volunteer for the Olympics. Toronto should host it sometime. Not winter though, like summer. Hey I checked out your blog, I like it. Now I’ll know what’s going on…Haha, love the Quebec accent and you looked fine. I used to have the biggest crush on him as a preteen, before no one knew who he was, but now every girl in my school is like a total fangirl and I’m not so much…Still like the guy, though, better luck in Sochi.

Twitter is completely worthless, but it’s interesting to see what people have to say, especially during games. You’re so lucky to be in grad year! I can’t wait to get out of this hellhole known as high school. Going to university/college?

CANADA ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED THE USA LAST NIGHT. Seriously with all the “hype” there was I expected a much better effort from them and for it to be a much closer game. Not that I’m complaining. USA got so outplayed and just kept losing battles, I felt kinda bad. I love how the crowd was so pro-Canada, it was like a home game. One of my favourite plays was the feed from de Haan to Kassian as he was coming out of the box. Campbell had no chance. And how about the two goalies getting player of the game? Do you agree with it? I thought Visentin was much better, thank GOODNESS cuz I don’t like to waste bread, and it was overall a pretty near perfect game. Except Couturier missing that glorious chance. Let’s just say I celebrated prematurely. Oh well. Onto the Russians. I gotta feeling gold’s coming back to Canada. We’ll see though; give a russian enough vodka and miracles happen. I stole that from my Russian friend. And I just want to point out that Luongo has been playing so much better. Sitting on top now, eh? So incredibly jealous. If only, if only…
