Hmmm best advice I can give you... instead of just sticking the song in the story by having someone sing it... try to revolve the story around the song... like... use the lyrics to create a visual picture and write about that. This was not bad at all for your first one-shot. If you'd like some examples check out some of my one-shots or search for other one-shots on here and see what you can find out =]
