    Bleh, I had to work from 12:30 til 2:30 unexpectedly, and then I went back at 5 and worked til 8. After work I went over to my friend's house, and I just got back a couple minutes ago. That was a fun time. :D

    In the area I live it is...and middle school is worse.
    Plus the States are more sports hungry than "music hungry"...which is again...bull...

    That's pretty cool...some radio stations support the local music scene...which is a great thing...considering many kids think it's "uncool" to be a musician...I don't know...

    Yes...I picked up my instrument when I was 11 (5th grade)...and I've been playing for almost 8 years...many kids in my school stopped playing either after the first year because they thought it was too challenging...last year of middle school, which is what my friend did...or their second year of high school because they just wanted the art credit.
    It makes me sick that at the high school I go to we might not even have a Concert Band this year because too many kids are dropping and we're not getting enough incoming freshmen...I just want to go up to the "former" band kids and say, "You can create beautiful music with your instrument, why are you droping it?!"

    Yes...and in the States...many school bords either don't have the money or are thinking of taking the music out of schools...which is complete BS!
