Oh don't worry, I won't leave the story just because it makes me want to cry. Dude, that would be stupid. It's a good story. Making your readers cry is really just a sign that it's a good story (or you're readers are all extremely emotional, which I doubt XD)

When my gramps died it took about 4 days, and I was told that was a rather long wait... Another I attended, it took about 2 days. From what I've seen it's usually not much, but yes I guess it depends on cause of death. Besides, it's not like I'm a funeral expert or something. X] So maybe weeks is normal too.
