Haha, I grew up on technology. Just kidding, I'm almost as challenged as you are. (Dude, if you insult yourself, I have the right to. hahahaha.) I mean, I don't get lots of things but show me once and I know for life. :)

Wow, you're making me jealous. I keep telling myself to get up early and get a job before my summer ends because the money I have now I'm going to squander it on a PSP Go and maybe a simple but cool smartphone. Then I won't have anything left. Boohoo.

No don't take it the wrong way but I want to get the story done first because after twelve years I just want it done. This is my final draft and once I finish this I can start the editing and then when I get that done I can publish it.

I also think that leaving the editing later means I will be further through my course when I start editing but this course could take up to four years and I just can't wait that long to publish the story. I plan to have it on the shelves by 2012. As long as I keep this pace that wont be hard at all.

I am currently enrolled in a cert 4 in writing and editing course and I am trying to get the story itself finished before I worry about the editing and publishing but at the moment I am just looking for feedback on the story itself

I first studied Duffy in my English classes - she's now the UK's first female Poet Laureate!! Definitely worth a read-up.

I wasn't worried about you criticising me for being too flowery - from frequenting the Poetry section on here, I totally agree with you on the language points. Some people just try too hard to rhyme and it makes it seem much less natural.

I can't help being too nice, but I know how to give critique as well as take it! I'd love it if you took a look at my more recent works, I've been experimenting with free verse lately more to the style of recent poets (e.g. Duffy), I can't stick to writing rhyming verse all the time as it can get stale and unoriginal, and that's something I definitely don't want to make a habit of! And I'd love to take a look at your 'Soccer' story sometime soon!! :D

Hey Valencia, thank you for being so honest about my work!! I can't say I've read any Hemingway in great detail, but I am expanding my horizons more and more all the time!

I'd say my greatest influences so far in poetry have been Edgar Allan Poe and Carol Ann Duffy. Definitely ones for the bedroom bookshelf.

Regarding my profile, I can see how my 'About' may come across as 'flowery' or possibly to the extent of 'word snob'. I always try to say what I mean and not beat around the bush, so I hope I don't come across in a bad light. :)

From where I'm sitting, the 'Poems' section is definitely worth glancing through (but bring your fine-toothed comb just in case!) And thank you for coming across mine, would love to hear your thoughts on some of my latest works, I'm trying a few different styles for a topic or two - any feedback is much appreciated!! :D x

Well, I think the problem with stories like that is that authors create shorter chapters with more fluff. It's not that hard to cut out the unimportant things and create longer chapters and a "shorter" story- which, it takes me nearly two hours to read this already, so it's not THAT short. Speaking of.... I'm rereading this week. xD We'll see how long it takes.

Hey, we all have our own busy lives, and most people know that. It's just those readers who expect constant updating who are going to be upset when there's a bit of time between chapters. Don't worry about it. =]
That's one reason why I haven't been writing... I have a whole course to finish and I'm all.. arrgghhh because I can't get any ambition whatsoever to study.

It's beyond me.. I guess I don't understand how a game can be so much more important than the people who play it. I mean, I like football, but even if I was a hardcore fan, I wouldn't be an ass about it. It just seems silly to get worked up over a game like that.

Yes, she is. =] She's my third favorite character by the way, but she's in second place. Kher and Bubak are my number ones. xD I can't choose between them haha. Is Santana still sick? You haven't mentioned anything about that again, and I've been wondering.

Oh wow... I really hope you don't cram the whole season into two chapters haha!! I'm the same way when I write chaptered stories, though. I just go with the flow and see where it takes me.

I'm glad. =] Lots of closure is always good, that way you won't leave us hanging, and I definitely like that in a story.

No, honestly, I would love to recommend it to others. Great art is meant to be shared, and this is definitely a work of art.
Aw! =/ That's really sad that you lost the first one.. I think it's sad when people give up on a story if it takes a week or so for the author to update. It's childish when people expect constant updates, especially if they're an author themselves. They should know that good work takes time.

Oh god, so many people in my area say that... D= But I live in an area with a lot of hicks. XD It's really interesting that that's happening, though. To me, it shows how dedicated you are to the story. =]

Hmm.. Jackson. I'm kind of undecided about him.. I understand where he (you... XD) was coming from with the whole taking the hits thing, but wow.. rape? That was intense. I mean, to me that seems like a big metaphor, like how her pride and sense of self might be completely taken away from her. Or maybe I'm just reading into things too much haha. I really am glad she's back, too, though. She just adds something special to the story. =]

As much as I hate to say it, I'm really curious about your plans for their relationship. XD Half of me wishes everything will work out smoothly for them, but the other half hopes that there will be a lot more drama. =]

That is depressing... I'll try to recommend it to some more people. For real... this is THE BEST story on Mibba, and I would seriously cry if you quit writing it because some people are assholes and don't comment. =[

That's just.. gah. Frustrating! I could see it, but it's just so.. Medieval of them to turn a woman away who wants to play football. Twenty-first century here, people!
