okay, in book one, the guy has a family. He loses the family because he only focuses on the doll (doll made by his grandfather). The doll comes to life. They end up falling deep in love. the girl dies because of a mistake the guy made. He spends years putting her pieces back together, when he does, she never came back to life.
Epilogue: the guy wakes up and find out that he was dreaming and in real life, he's a photographer. A co-worker wakes him up (the grandfather) a model he never met walks into the room. Looks exactly like Annie
2nd book; he falls for the girl and tries to pursue her. It's about a normal photographer and a popular model.
