Then I'll tell you step by step XD
First you click the [i]Layouts[/i] link that you find under the stories bar.
Then you click the [i]Create a new layout[/i] link and you'll get to where you supposed to tamper with. Ignore the other language words there, they're useless and is just an example of a story to help as you're making the layout.

Start from the top of the: [i]Page Editor[/i] box.
You click on page and you can change the background color of the page, add an image if you want to by putting the link in the [i]Background image URL[/i] box

Then you can go to 'Story Area[/i] where you can make the story center, change the story area colors and make the box smaller or bigger and all that.

Next you can fix up the title to make it work right, with color combinations and all and you can also change the font (don't ever use Fantasy)
Same with chapter title
and then the actual content of the story

You can make the story look centered, left or right or justified
change color font
change font
change the link color

Just tamper like crazy with it and you'll be making story layouts like a crazy person in no time XD

Tips:
Don't make the fonts unreadable
Don't ever combine bright colors on dark backgrounds, unless it works right.
Try to not use pictures in the [i]story content[/i] that makes it hard to read the words.

Pretty backgrounds attract people to the stories XD and banners are lovely. I'll make banners for you if you want, although I'm not the best at it.

I for one can't stand pre-made layouts, so it's hard to keep reading a story when they have a pre-made layout >.<

I haven't done it in a bit, but I started entering again and I went a little crazy. I entered like three contests I think... a Christmas one, the Bible one and I think I entered another one, I can't remember O.o

And I'll read it whenever you post it :D
