Lmao, I made a file on Snake Eater specifically for fighting Ocelot over that gap. Want a cool Easter egg? If you get the revolver (by getting the alternate ending), and use it in that fight, you can have a twirling match between the two of you, or have a QuickDraw duel. Its my favorite fight in MGS3

Just wait until you get to Peace Walker! You'll start to feel so sorry for Naked Snake, because it's the game that shows the biggest turn in his character. Like I said before the games that go back into the past are the ones that have the best canon and characters. They do a much better job of telling a story than the games set in the "present" do. In Peace Walker, you'll see when Snake finally decides to change his code name and accept the title "Big Boss".

As for Raiden, he is a total pushover, and it's pretty sad that Snake is the one that has to point out that there's something wrong about the Colonel. Rolling Eyes I loved the part where he got the sword, it's just too bad you only get to use it for a short while. As for Revengence, I was considering getting the Grey Fox skin and just pretending to be him instead.

But like I said, if you want the best continuity, play the games in order in the timeline: 3, PW, GZ (when it comes out), (The original Metal Gear games if you're feeling adventurous, which aren't that hard to find on emulators or if you have the Subsistence version of Snake Eater), MGS1, MGS2. Portable Ops/PO+, Ac!d, MGS4 and Revengence are really just optional.

lmfao This series is about as complicated as Resident Evil.

Also, the reason I say Snake Eater and Peace Walker are the best is because they have much better canon in comparison to the main series. If you look at the gap between MGS2 and MGS4, there's pretty much nothing in common with either of them. No continuity between the stories. And I believe that's mostly because MGS2 was supposed to be the last one until Kojima started getting death threats from fans to continue. Facepalm

I just wish Raiden wasn't changed as much as he was in 4 and Rising. Because we'll never know why he goes all psycho badass in 4, from whiny angsty teenager in 2. Oh, and that bit about him being Jack the Ripper, the child soldier, forget about that. It makes no sense.

Facepalm The main series is totally fucked, IMHO.

Yeah, I'd like to imagine most of MGS2 never happened. Though I did feel terrible when Otacon's sister died. That was pretty sad, and it set up Raiden and Vamp as true rivals. But I just want to believe MGR isn't canon. Its way too out there, even for the metal gear universe. As for Snake Eater, if you've never beat it before, you'll love it the whole way through. Personally I prefer Naked Snake to Solid Snake. Once you beat MGS3, forget about Portable Ops and ACID as it doesn't really matter to the story, even though they're both good games. Immediately start Peace Walker and you'll be all set for Ground Zero when it comes out!

But as for Rose, I just hate that she isn't even /in/ MGR. Its like Raiden is the ONLY returning cast member, and MGS4 SPOILERS: it doesn't make sense that he joins a PMC because even if he's just working as security, he decided to live his life when Rose revealed that she had a son with him and wanted to be with him.

I just hate that they had to cut his eye, that was just a terrible idea, and giving him that barcode on his face makes him more machine than anything. So IDK, while MGR is an okay game, I don't consider it canon. But seriously though, play through Snake Eater and Peace Walker, because those two games are easily the best in the series.

Lmao, if you haven't played MGS4, you'll love Raiden in there, and then dislike him again in Revengence. They even make fun of him in MGS3 by making him the antagonist's gay lover. tehe

Don't worry, Robyn. Just play MGS3 or Peace Walker (or even Twin Snakes if you have a gamecube). You'll feel much better afterwards! tehe

His comment of the underwater city had me on giggles. I was literally like, "just ignore the fact you've been in a city in the air for a while now!" Aha. I'm gonna play them all through again. They're just amazing.

Hello! Yes, I loved it! Not long after finishing it to be honest. Was a bit of a mindfuck, but when I seen Rapture in it I swear I got a bit too excited. But it is absolutely grand to find someone else who enjoys the series!

I've been okay. Busy as hell working to get through my coursework, but I've been okay. As much work as it'd be, I decided to COMPLETELY redesign my video game storyboard project. So. Much. Work. I pretty much came up with an entirely new story using the same characters, but still...that's a LOT of drawing. My hand hurts. Yak

But I've been listening to FOB as well and everything is bearable~ Cute

This is gonna be your detailed playthrough. Do absolutely EVERYTHING that's there to do. I'm pretty sure the game isn't completely linear, so if you see something to explore, do it. I only did main quests in my first Skyrim playthrough, on my second one, I've almost completed EVERY side mission I've been able to find. Now my quest list is filled with randomly generated radiant quests (go here, kill x person, bring back y item, etc) but it just means I didn't just finish the game. I've had a complete experience of it.

    Tldr; Just do EVERYTHING.

WHAT???? HOW LONG DID YOU PLAY IT? lmfao Have you thought about achievement/trophy hunting? I did that with Skyrim and it extended my playthrough a lot, but I've got a 100% completion of every achievement in the game, aside from the hearthfire DLC.

They're my favorite LP'ers by far. I love their playthrough of Resident Evil since they know all the lines to the bad voice acting. "NOOOOOOO, DON'T GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

    Lmao, which song? tehe

XD Yeah, he can be pretty loud sometimes. What about Two Best Friends Play/ Two Best Sisters? I usually love their videos, since they usually play the weirdest choices of games, like Cabelas Dangerous Hunt. lmfao

I never played it myself, my cousin was obsessed with it, it was okay.

In terms of horror games, a new slender game is coming out that's free called Faceless: Slender Source. Its multiplayer co-op, kinda like Left 4 Dead, but you all have to work together to survive. :P

Yeah, Pewds and Cry are the only LPers I've subscribed to. Cute I love their Scott Pilgrim LP they just uploaded.

I thought 4 was only on the PS3? That's the one that had hour long cutscenes. lmfao I haven't got the game, but I've played at beat it while staying over at a friends house. We stayed up ALL night playing through it. lmfao

Lmao, I stay away from a lot of custom stories, I usually stick to watching LP'ers on youtube play them for me. XD I just looked that up, have fun with that. You've got more guts than I do. xD

Yeah, I was pretty late to the party, but since the first two games are only $3 and $7, respectively, it was an easy buy.

Lol, yeah, Idk, its still just a spinoff, so I can't really judge it. I've played and beat every MG game to date, including the originals on the nes. Peace Walker was my favorite by far though. They've got missions where you fight a dragon! 0_0

LMAO. I was the complete opposite. I had to have my lantern on at all times. I'm a bit of a pansy in that game, especially if you play some of the mods like White Night. I nearly pissed myself with that. lmfao
