I didn't know over describing was a thing either. Like I said that's just my personal opinion, it's really good without it too. I'm just in love with the guessing game Shift brings. There's so much you could do with the characters at this point, and I can't wait to see what you do. I did subscribe to it by the way :)
I have one especially, called 'William.' I think everyone who's commented on it said they teared up. 'Avenging Angel' did too, I think; for a couple people. It has a very dark premise though.
I'm making moves toward it. But it's really annoying to see younger users saying that something won't get published. Like, where's your expertise and credentials that prove you can make this judgment?
I've been told by quite a few people that i have a knack for emotions. I'm pretty good at putting myself in other people's shoes and contemplating different situations; probably because I'm an avid people watcher. It probably helps lend a certain element to my writing.
Hahaha I know the feeling! Sometimes I read over old works from back in the day and I'm like, "ew, what the bleep what were you thinking when you wrote this?" Of course as a writer or any other kind of creative/artsy person you're bound to be the biggest, harshest critic of your own work; but I know when my writing stinks and when it's good.
Haha yeah. About a year or so ago I started co-writing with a friend who recently became interested in it and she's done quite a bit of improving. People used to talk about how good my writing was when I was little, cause I've always aced all my English classes but I've definitely improved since then.
Most of my stories are one-shots or short stories. Or chaptered ones on hiatus. Haha. All my completed chaptered ones that are more than a couple chapters are co-writes.
