Oh, yes, I also completed yet another chapter to my story. :]

Hello, it's me! Heh. Don't be silly, I appreciate the advice from ALL my readers, both young and old. Now, to address some of your concerns:

1. Thorn having an accent.
I had actually given thought to giving Thorn accent, but I couldn't quite find an accent that would fit an Elf. Originally, I had planned to have her speak in perfect english, as in, she doesn't use contractions, and she would've drawn out her sentences in a prose-like manner. But, I decided to ditch giving her an accent, because I personally felt that by giving her a "perfect english" accent, it wouldn't have given her very much personality, and I would think my readers would get annoyed by reading such long, drawn-out sentences.

2. Thorn's family befriending a Dwarf.
Why not? Besides, when I wrote Adventurer's Log, I intended it to be a simple, fun, adventure story. So, I don't plan on bogging down the plot with Elven lore or Dwarven Lore, nor will I go on and on about the history and/or the creation of the world. And the way I see it, it's no different from say, a Hispanic family befriending an Asian family.

3.The layout.
A friend of mine is making me a layout, be she's been very busy, and I won't be expecting it for a while.

4.Spacing my dialogue.
Eh, I have nothing. :]

Keep in mind that I am NOT shooting down your advice, FAR from it. I'm simply explaining where I'm coming from and why I wrote the way I chose to. I still appreciate the criticism. :] I'd love it if you were to reply with your own "counter-thoughts". Heh. :]
