ah NICE. >_____> guitar = bloody awesome instrument, even if everyone wants to learn it. -.-

but hah you should see how much we study to scrape an A. :/ (plus A's a 70% here! we might get harder stuff, and the teachers are just so stingy with marks, but still)

and haha YES. X______X it's going to harm them A LOT in the future. o.o

but aha it's been a while - how goes it?

HAH EXACTLY. xD but haha evanescence on piano... hmm. that might sound nice. stuff like hiphop on piano = -cringe- though. most rock songs, too. almost all mandarin songs can be played nicely on piano. not a good thing, trust me. blasted neighbours banging on that all day long. banging their fingers on their piano i mean. okay that sounds equally wrong. forget it. -.- my point stands. not that they're very good at it either. but haha how long have you been learning the piano for?

HAH no actually, caucasians are the smartest. it's just that you guys don't put in effort - we get pressured to study, 'tis all. that's why we SEEM better than you guys. and it's a stereotype! the people in the neighbourhood schools here are equally bad. :X it's just that i got into one of the best schools, i suppose. xD

but HAH the US may be declining, but China is too. one day their one-child policy is going to turn around and bite them in the arse. plus china people are so self-centered. x____x annoying, really. and if anyone's going to bomb anything, i think it'd be japan or north korea or russia first, frankly. xD

aha TECHNICALLY it isn't right, but hey - she never did throw more than 2 a year, i think. it's easy to scare little kids. the THOUGHT of her throwing marker caps in itself is enough to put people off, i think. xD but HAH YES. but it depends on the context of 'classical stuff', that is. literally it's the mozart period, and those = mehhh. the romantic period is nicer. more bangy stuff like chopin.AND BEETHOVEN. his music = darn fun to play on the piano.

WELL... sort of. pragmatic society and all that jazz - everything's for money, money money. we keep getting drilled on how 'if you don't study, you'll never have a good future!' pssh. darn chinese culture. we're more focused on math and science here, i suppose. much more focused. and those, well. they don't exactly leave room for creativity.

aha i doubt it'd be your taste though - the emphasis is on the 'ensemble' part. i.e. you play all those pieces that are, well, not exactly all that cool. plus you'd have to use folk guitars. -.- but it's fun, i suppose - for me, anyway, since i was posted to rhythm back in primary school. used to laugh at the rest when they got blisters. :X conductor threw marker caps at us whenever we used plectrums, though. she had scary aim. -.-

but aha hey that's even cooler - no one here can compose for shit. we might have loads of people that can play musical instruments - in my school, anyway - but writing songs = pure failure, because everyone here is trained to NOT think out of the box. x____x

and oh shush. i have horrible, horrible eyesight. ):<

aha seriously? band here = purely symphonic band. wanted to quit to join guitar ensemble in senior high because that was my co-curricular activity in primary school (well, when i was 9 to 12, at least), so it would be familiar ground, but i suppose i have too many friends in band to quit now.they'd bash me to death. -.-

but haha track IS fun! well.. when it's not long-distance stuff. those are just... ack. i don't see anything remotely relaxing about it, i suppose. and i can't run anymore anyway - myopia = too high = glasses = they keep bouncing up and down = bloody annoying. :X

symphonic band. -shrugs- (oh shush. xD) aiming for a gold with honours = should be able to get it, if my juniors don't screw up. -grimaces- wondering if i should've taken up track in year one instead of turning them down when they approached me. -.-

same here - unless they start asking whether singapore is in china. wherein i'd just throw a huge fuss over everything. :X but aha eh alright, i suppose - could be worse, but could definitely be much, much better. the following two weeks are going to be ridiculously stressful - tests + projects + competitions, so i can't wait till those are over. then i don't have to stay back on monday, wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday till 7pm just to practice. FINALLY.

aha over here PDA's almost zero, so i suppose i got horribly unlucky this time around. -.- but holy crap aha it's not THAT special! granted, everyone says anyone ain't brit that goes 'bloody _____' = wannabe, but in all honesty, people here use just about everything. 'chicken shit' is a valid phrase. that says something! xD

but aha that's good then, i suppose?

School?
Well. five projects due in two weeks - two of which are 10-page reports, one which is making a glider that can fly 25m, intensive band training, four essays (i think), as well as three worksheets and four tests next week. so... eh.
