thank you for showing a little bit of compassion, most people these days don't see it as a big deal because most people are smokers. But what they don't see is how hard it is for someone to quit smoking after 30 years of doing so. My mom has said that if they had rehabs for smokers the way they have rehabs for druggies and alcoholics she would be the first one to sign up. After 30 years of smoking you tend to forget how to cope and how to live through life without a cigarette in your hands. People just don't understand that. I am a non smoke which is kinda funny seeing as my mom smokes, my brother smokes, my sister smokes, and my dad smokes but not as often as everyone else in the list does. Sorry for the long ass comment and I'm sorry to hear about your mom too. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers and hope she gets better.
