To me, Richard is my [i]real[/i] father. He raised me. My blood father... I know his name is Alfonso DeVito, but otherwise, I know nothing. Not even why him and mother aren't together.
I have no recollection of anything that happened before October of my thirteenth year. Even then, my earliest memory is my last week at the center. Them saying I'm better and can go home. Mother told me once that I had spent from age ten to age thirteen in that center, and I only remember a week of it. I don't allow it to bother me, though. Why should I? I have the last four- almost five- years full of memories. I'm happy with that. I'm alive- I'm breathing, that is what matters most to me.

Well, for now, I shall allow you a look upon the main character in my story.
I was birthed on August twentieth to the name Ashley Isaiah- surname not included. I have never met my blood father, but as far as I am concerned Richard is my father. It has been my mother, Richard and I since I was young- too young to remember anything before hand. I don't remember anything of my childhood that I haven't heard from others, saw in photographs or home movies. I am currently seventeen-years-old, and I embrace life. Everything is beautiful in my eyes. I smile at anyone passing hoping to brighten their day, and take long walks wherever I go so as to be granted the ability to smell whatever flowers I choose, or stare aimlessly at the clouds.
