Yeah,some people actually do look at you oddly if you say something like that. My sisters like that. It's really annoying. But yeah,i much prefer the term 'kissing'. i mean, how awful does it sound to say 'meet'. Not as nice,right? Anyway,as to your friend,i've never heard someone refer to it as that.
