Most people have a differnent type, and respond differently to how you talk them down (if they're suicidal). the most important thing is to remember that as scary as it can be, you HAVE to be there for them. I know you didn't ask for my advice, and I apologize if you didn't want it, but one last thing: the best thing you can do for them is to tell someone, if people don't already know. if they can be happy again, then they won't hate you or anything. maybe while they're healing they will. but no one wants to feel like this. I hope your friend is ok, and kudos to you for not abandoning them!
