Normally I try to make the plot really complex, even in a contest, but this time I wanted something simple that still had the reader engrosed.

I try really hard to make sure all my stories flow and have few mistakes, if any.

Normally, if there is a mistake, I know about it and am too lazy to fix it, lol.

This story was familiar to me too because I based Melissa a lot off my grandmother. She was always doctoring her medication, had rheumatiod arthritis, and accepted her death. She hated hospitals and her only husband died from a heartattack when my mom was five.

I actually have a "story" about my gram. It's just two contest entries right now, but they are focused on her.

So, when I named the "title" I named it after her favorite snack and bird.

But enough about that, lol. I had a lot of fun writing this and am actually shocked that I didn't need an extension.

And it's hard to keep up with the contests I've entered when they aren't on the forum...

Hey thanks for the comment on Heaven Help Us..the more revised one. Yeah see I could not get back to you on your comment because I simply hate Heaven Help Us with a passion now...that is my fall back one-shot. I usually have one fall-back one-shot and then a really good one. I just feel like I did not give the characters justice and I believe it sucks a lot. But if you like it I guess that is good?
