Well, I suppose it was all of the Billie Joe stories on here where Adie is all "rainbows and butterflies", you know? 100% sweet, with absolutely no personality. Adie seems like a very nice person from what I've seen and heard, but I'm sure she gets pissed off sooner or later, like everyone else. I wanted to make my impression of Adie realistic.
Also, most of the Billie Joe stories I've read (if it's not slash, and that's rare) will always throw Adie to the side. If it's an original female character/Billie story, Billie and Adie would have already conveniently divorced before the story started, or the original female character will just be Billie's mistress and Adie is barely mentioned. So I had this thought it would be cool to give Adie the spotlight, and make her my protagonist.
Plus, all of the plot lines for the original female characters are so old and cliche now. There's really nothing you can do to make it seem new, unless you're talented enough to pull it off.
So I knew that I wanted Adie to be my main character, but I didn't know what the plot was gonna be. I knew I wanted the story to have a dark tone, but I couldn't get anymore specific than that, until I heard iViva la Gloria! (Little Girl) by Green Day come on my iPod. And then it hit me.
Downfall.
Depression.
Abuse.
Heartbreak.
It all just came to me like that. The drug idea was added in at the last minute, I must admit. So I guess that's how I came up with the plot of The Vendetta. :)
Hahaha, some main stream stuff is okay. Some.
And rap. What to sayy? I only craved to Airplanes by B.o.B. because of Hayley Williams, lolz.
Lol, good guess? Your profile totally didn't give it away, lolz
