Sorry it took me so long to reply! D:

I just finished re-reading 'The Catcher In The Rye', so now I'm 99% sure that Holden is telling the story from a psych ward. I actually haven't read 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' [or seen the movie], but it's definintely on my list! You didn't like the movie? I've never heard that before, usually people like it. Now I really want to see it and form my own opinon, lol. :]

My opinion is that he's in a psych ward telling a doctor [or somebody] the preceeding events. To me, it's like his mental breakdown but very detailed since it's over the course of a few days. All the tiny details start to make sense, and it seems more cohesive. But that's just my opinon. It's just one of those books that can be interpreted in different ways. :]

Funny story...I had won a m&g with Cobra Starship, and last night was the concert. So I decided I'd bring my copy of 'The Catcher In The Rye' to get signed by them since it's one my favorites. At the m&g the band members are signing it, not commenting on it too much. But when I got to Ryland he kind of freaked out. He likes the books too, and I guess he also brough a copy of it to get signed by one of his favorite bands back when he was my age. Piebald, since they have a song called 'Holden Caulfield'. :] I'll have to check the song out.
