If I want to say something like uhm... "He grabbed my hand absentmindedly" is this right or is it "He absentmindedly grabbed my hand"?

hey thanks for my story comment on 'if we leave love', i must say that fights are a little i dont know average, but are a lot of fun to write. but im hoping to pull off something more unexpected. lets just hope i can pull it off.

And it's one story, the first bit is him all straight edge and then later on why he decides to more or less stop being straight edge, and how he changes really. But he won't be at all a dickhead in this story.
And the only reason is a fan fiction version is because it most likely didn't happen this way.
