I've run into a few words i didn't know or understand but it seems that my brother knows a few (we fight in english because my father can't speak it).
My brother had to explain "what's up" i took it too literal for the longest time.

English was definitly hard for me to learn, took four years of formal classes and i still can't spell some words X)
You should learn chinese so we can speak and no body would know what we're saying.
