Because MCR have more meaning than FOB. Fall Out Boy talk mostly about heart-break and sex in thier lyrics. And the whole eyeliner thing is just their style. Look at PANIC!, Kiss, Alice Cooper .. Marlyin Manson! For crying out loud they all wear eyeliner and even full face make-up with paint.

Alot of people lie to fit in with the crowd, not [i]only[/i] MCR fans -sigh-.
You maybe think that because this site is full of MCR fans.

honestly, i agree with what you said about pete wentz, he's not famous for much. and mcr [i]is[/i]just a band. i do like black - but the soul thing is ridiculous and my friends would kill me for saying that, after they'd have a huge laugh. metal is the real rock.

Because it makes them feel like they have a sense of belonging between other fans. A lot of kids feel like outsiders among the hardcore fans so they make up a sob story to get empathy. That's kind of pathetic in my opinon. Especailly when they do it online so that way people can't tell truth from fiction.
