Yeah she's my favorite author. I'm rereading all of her books at the moment, over the summer I had read them so many times I could quote the characters... Pretty sad huh? lol

To me the peom expresses feelings of depression and sorrow, alone with confusion. The narrator seems to try and cover those emotions up, and everyone believes that they truly are ok when they aren't.
I can relate because I feel like that a lot; any time something bad happens, or even if it happens to my friends, I tend to get depressed and confused about how it could possibly happen, only to hide me real feelings from others because it creates a sucurity blanket of sorts.
