It is? That's the first positive reaction I've come across to the infection/disease or what ever it's considered....:P

I don't know, at least Physics can be mentally taxing which at least means you are occupied. Let me know if watching two snails is any more exciting that just one (and it'll depend on the kind of popcorn, I think I'd rather go for a large portion of minstrels)

But then we get to the issue of buying the clarinet and books to learn or for lessons. I'm sure people smarter than ourselves are at the moment trying to come up with solutions, so for now, I think I'll let them deal with it.

They are aren't they! You are not allowed to handle them bare handed though, 'cause there's a small chance they have rabies.

Hmm, fine when you have something else to do then come back and see how far they've moved, but slug/snail watching constantly for hours? I'm sure even you would find that a little boring after a while.

I guess it depends where they place themselves, and what they look like. I saw one guy with a little wriggling puppy, bet he got quite a lot.

You can pretty much watch anything, like the French people watch, heck you can slug watch if you are so inclined. We have pipistrelles, the most common kind of bat in england
http://nrs.ucdavis.edu/quail/Images/mammals/Western%20Pipistrelles.jpg

I have no clue why they do it...I really can't understand it. Maybe some of them aren't even homeless but just pretend to be to get some dosh. Who knows.

It may just be one of those things that will forever be a mystery to us, no matter how smart and advanced we become.

They eat flies and midges and such, I haven't bat watched in ages, maybe I should start again.

There shouldn't really be homeless people on the streets of Paris, I guy over there was telling us how they have houses set up for homeless to go sleep in and such but a lot of them don't seem to use them.

Yes, they do actually use catchy song as punishment in some small towns in the US. Rofl.

It probably influences it, like large woman in third world countries because it symbolises wealth because they can get enough to eat, but things like flowers and animals and landscapes, they seem to be universally thought as as pretty, even thousands of years ago if you look at ancient art. So I think it can be a bit of a mix, it's had to say, an expert would know better.

It is an old house and with the convenient hole to get into the roof, it's possibly been home to a roost of bats for a long time, we've just never noticed.

Generally asking for money, or, if you are a girl even just remotely pretty, they like to talk to you.

Well it's sort of understandable, our eyesight is one of our most predominant senses, and maybe it's just in our nature to be attracted to pretty things, how can we go against that?

I am still wondering, but more so how another one previously got into our downstairs bathroom! It is a mystery to me.

Well the alphabet at least, but yes a lot of them probably know English pretty well, heck even the hobos on the street in France new English, which could be annoying sometimes because then you couldn't claim ignorance to what they were saying.

Moths are generally not as pretty, I wonder if people have a natural aversion to things that aren't pretty or attractive.
Aww guess what, I found a baby bat in my bathroom, it was so cute! I called it Charlie, but now it's with a special bat person who can hopefully hand rear it before releasing it back to the wild.

Yeah I think the Japanese have a different symbol for every word, so mustn't have a keyboard with their characters on....lets type it into google and see what comes up.

Pretty much like ours but has some symbols on it as well.

They might not know that, not much space for a brain in there...they do have a brain right? Maybe they just have CNS, I think some organisms do, so small!
What do you think of moths? I know they aren't as pretty, but I don't get how my friends can't stand moths but doesn't mind butterflies. Weird.

Yes, very irritating, I'm still sort of wondering what Japanese and Chinese keyboards look like, how on earth does that work? I think they must use our alphabet and either the computer automatically translates it or...I really don't know. lol

Aww poor butterflies, being chased by a huge horrible monster! Don't often see butterflies over here, maybe I just don't go to the right places. I've been told that the chalky mountains are home to some rare flora and fauna, butterflies included, maybe I should go a hunting.

Yeah, it's on the like with the letters asdfghjkl, it's the third one after L, it's paired with ~ which you get by pressing shift at the same time. I think my brother has an American keyboard or something, I remember using it for something and every time I wanted to use ' it came up with @ instead, or was it #? Either way it took me ages to find where on the keypad it was, because the buttons didn't show the right symbols.
