I'm sorry that you had such a rough time with your first choice for college, but I'm glad that you've found something better! I hope that you find that connection in your second school, and I thank you very much for sharing your story with me.

I also have to agree with what you said at the end, where college is where we learn who we are and what we want. I did have a lot of trouble adjusting to my surroundings in the beginning, and although the outset was incredibly difficult, I think it really did help me grow up a little bit. I wanted everything to get handed to me and fall into place naturally, and I didn't know how to WORK for friends or good grades or anything. So you're right; although the experience was not as easy as I anticipated, it made me a little more mature, and now I know that just because something isn't easy doesn't mean I need to escape it.
