As hard as it is for me to do, I THINK we should give ourselves some leniency. We are only human. We deserve to be less than perfect sometimes. We dont deserve to die because we mess up, or someone else is beter at something. Or even everything. Failure shouldn't have to result in death.

Being too nice isn't bad in some cases, I guess. But this one, with the stalker guy... He has been in jail for molesting 2 girls my age. He got out early cuz of tribal law. So my being too nice, is actually a danger. And yeah, the things we were denied as a child are things we want most as adults. Like my dad is so critical, and rarely ever compliments people, andI never felt good enough. Now I have this perfection complex where I have to be absolutely perfect at everything, and even the slightest mistake is a monumental failure =0P meaning I disappoint myself a lot, even if it's something I should b proud of

But those things can b fixed. See, there's my personality coming out again. Lol I guess the biggest problem I have with myself would be my feelings of unworthiness. I hate asking for things, or accepting gifts cuz I don't think I'm worthy of that. I don't even know where I developed that. But that, and how nice I am. I am living proof that there is such a things as too nice. I can't even tell the guy who is stalking me to leave me alone cuz I'm afraid I will hurt his feelings =0P

Anytime =0) Sadly, not everyone can have a perfect life. I wish that wasn't true, because no one deserves to be sad, or hungry, or wihtout a home, etc. My typical "fix everything" personality can't stand it when people are going through hard situations. I want to help EVERYONE, which can be stressful and disappointing when I can't =0P which is why i have to think things will get better, no matter if they will or not. i might be deluding myself, but it helps me cope with the cruelty of the world

I'm really sorry that things have been so tough =0( And if a third party listener helps, I'm here. It probably doesn't mean much, coming from a stranger, but I am =0)

that's a very good arguement. a little cynical, but a good arguement. i think that a lot of these ideas come from personal experience too. and what's going on in our lives at the moment. i mean, I have good parents, a supportive, if not strict, family. I've always had a lot of friends, and excelled, or at least done well, at everything i've tried. so there's not much room for negative beliefs in my life. and i think our opinions change wiht that's going on at the moment too. if we would have been having this conversation 6 months ago, i would probably agree with you. but now, i;m happy wiht life for the most part. i miss my old life, before we moved, but i'm adjusting

I believe by just existing, we are fufilling a purpose of some kind. We truly don't know how we affect people by even the smallest actions. Like a mere smile, could give someone hope. Or even an arguement could save a life. Small matters like that can make the biggest difference. I also think that the world, and our lives and souls, exist in a neutral state, and we decide what we let sway us to good and evil, happy and sad.

30? that seems really young. i plan to live until God takes me, cuz I believe that we all stay alive long enough to complete the task(s) we were born to. It's a new belief, cuz one of my friends just died. He was killed by a drunk driver. It was really hard for me to understand why God lets people die so young, so that new belief came from explaining that to myself. And ur right, debating religion has no set point, but it's enjoyable for me just the same. It helps me reaffirm my opinions

Totaly agree. Arguement helps solidify the belief in your mind, and opens it up to different/better ideas. I have the greatest time debating religious stance with my best friend =0) And believe me, your IQ isn't in question here. Your arguements, though they nay not all be perfect (neither are mine), are much more intelligent than those of the people I often associate with. And besides, we are young. We have plenty of time to make them better, or completely change them.

No, I get it =0) It's actually quite refreshing. The school I go to now is so EASY, I'm starving for intelligent conversation. And it makes it even more interesting that we have such differing views. It's nice to have someone to challenge my opinions, rather than blindly follow along because they don't have the IQ to dispute them. So I'm actually having a good time discussing this with you

ok, so maybe i shouldn't make generalizations like that. but life, without a little optimism, is so depressing. if there is only bad in it, it's hard to keep going. that's why i have to believe that it will always get better, no matter what the struggle is. call me naive, but i don't know if i could make it through some of my hard times without that

well, then u can take me for an example =0) my mom left us when i was in 5th grade, and i was a lot closer to her than my dad at them time. i didn't even speak to her for about 3 years, and in that time she got a new bf and got pregnant. Now, they are married, I grew to love the guy like a 2nd dad, and I have 2 amazing little siblings that I wouldn't trade for the world. And my dad met this girl I never really liked, got married without ever asking me about it (i was the last to know), then moved me away fromm my amazing life without bothering to ask if i wanted it. honestly, that one hasn't gotten much better yet, but it will. I'm the smartest kid in this new school, and it's opened up academic doors already.

=0( I'm sorry about that. I wish I could understand, but I'm usually a very optimistic person. I believe that there is always a bright light at the end of every storm. And I'm not saying I haven't been through a lot, cuz some of my past has screwed me up pretty thoroughly... but it gets better =0)

that's cool =0) I LOVE to write, but I get new ideas so frequently, I've never finished a longer piece. lol I also like reading, and I ice skate. There's not much else to do around here. Especially with school, work, and dividing my time between friends and family i moved away from.
